Five Babymoon Essentials

I’m not gonna lie when you’re pregnant you kinda have your own system going on. You know what you can eat, you know what smells you can tolerate and  what products you need to get you through the day. Without one... a meltdown can occur! Trust me.. I can attest to it!

If you follow me on Instagram you will see that I went on a babymoon to Viamede Resorts (located in North Kawartha). It was the perfect getaway from my busy life! More on that soon (a lot of pictures). I want to share with you all products that got me through my extended stay.

Stay Fresh!

I brought Schmidt's Deodorant ($14.99 CAN). I made the switch to natural deodorant about a year and a half ago. The whole natural deodorant world is not is easy as you might think. You can't just to just switch and it all work out. You have to go through a trial and error to determine what works with your body chemistry. When testing it's probably good to do when you don’t have to be around so many people... haha. Also I should add that being pregnant it is very important for me to use a deodorant that didn’t have a lot of chemicals or additives in it. I got the baking soda free formula- I found out I'm allergic to baking soda the hard way. You don’t have to apply a lot to get you through your day. There are some deodorants that you can try put on at 10am and by 1pm- you pray that you’re not going to be in a room full of people. This was perfect and it totally held up in the Canadian “wilderness”.

Gotta have something for the bump!

I’ve been using a few things throughout my journey and in the third trimester- I decided to use Palmer's Tummy Butter ($7.99 CAN). Love it because it’s free of mineral oil and parabens. You basically apply it three times a day or as often as possible. In a circular motion on to stretch mark prone areas a.k.a. your tummy. There is actually more items in the line as well that I could’ve taken but I thought what product could I take that would do everything I needed and this was it!

What about my lips though?!

This totally was a no-brainer for me. I had to have the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($24.00 CAN)** with me because when you’re pregnant it is crazy how dehydrated you can get quickly. I forgot to put it on the first night and totally paid the price in the morning. But the best thing about this product (for me at least) once I woke up - I applied the lip mask. Then did my face routine. Got dressed and by the time I was ready to head out the door and wiped my lips. All the dead skin was gone! The are very few products that I will rave about. This is it!

Stay hydrated girl!

Since I knew that I would be pretty covered up for the full weekend (I was afraid of mosquito bites and stuff like that). I needed a product that was light that I could wear without feeling it on my skin! I decided to bring The Body Shop's Spa of the world Thai MAKRUT lime firming oil ($24.00 CAN)** with me. I’m not gonna lie, I’m very sensitive with scents but I don’t know what it is about this product... it’s so pleasant and light! Some products that have lime in it are super overbearing and will probably give me a headache. But not this! After coming out of shower you can massage it on damp skin until it’s fully absorbed. I love it! I’m actually thinking about putting it in my hospital bag as well.

And your face?

This one was very important because I decided to have a makeup free babymoon. I still had to make sure my face looked somewhat decent ...haha! For that I chose the Arbonne Intelligence Nourishing Facial Oil ($76.00 CAN) **. I'm actually on my second bottle. I chose this oil because it's super light weight. All you need is 2-3 drops. I'm NOT a face oil person but this product is REALLy good.
