Review: Maxi-Cosi Lara Stroller

Can we talk about strollers for a minute?
I remember when I was 30 weeks and the hunt to find one (that had everything I wanted) was tricky. I knew I wanted a bassinet stroller which came with a car seat. FYI: Super important for leaving the hospital. I was extremely grateful that the Maxi-Cosi Zelia stroller just came out on time and met my full expectations. I was even luckier that I put it on my baby registry and my brother purchased it for us. We have been rocking it ever since.

We always knew that when the time came that we wanted to get a travel stroller as well.
Why?
When my Ava and I are just out shopping- it's all fine but the minute I need to take her up a flight of stairs we're in trouble. Thankfully I only had to do this once so far and my husband was there BUT... I remember the struggle. And I don’t want to have to do all that again on vacation.

A few months ago, I started the hunt because we wanted to travel a lot this Summer. I knew that meant that a plane would be included and thinking of everything we have to carry is stressing me out and we haven’t even left yet!!! Plus the thought of struggling with a big stroller through the airport and the narrow aisles of a plane is giving me nightmares.

Thankfully, I found a solution. I was gifted the Maxi-Cosi Lara stroller.

And I’m extremely grateful.
Being a Maxi-Cosi mom already- I pretty much already knew what to expect.

Why did I know it was the best choice?
I have 4 reasons why!

Number 1:
It's stylish! I’m happy that I didn’t have to compromise the look of a cute stroller for “practical” components. You might laugh at that one but go look back at the travel strollers from the 90’s and you will totally see where I’m coming from. Cup holders are important and included! The perfect place to hold my slushies/smoothies or even bottles! I also needed a good sunshade because baby girl hates wearing her sunglasses. This one has UPF 50. Plus there is also a mesh peek-a-boo window. For me as a new mom, I always want to know what she’s doing. So that is an added benefit- instead of constantly stopping the stroller to look in.

Number 2:
It's lightweight at 14 pounds (while still being durable and strong) and, most importantly, it can fold's easily with a simple push of the handle. Basically, I can fold it with one hand and hold her on my hip at the same time! I should add that there's also a strap attached, so that once you fold it up you can simply strap it across your body and continue on your journey. Nothing is worst than when your child is having a meltdown at an event or something and you have to push the stroller and have the child on your hip. All while trying to find a pacifier or toy in a bag. Oh... never happened to you? ... I’m speaking from experience it’s not fun! Check out this youtube video to see how it looks when folded: Maxi-Cosi Lara

Number 3:
There are two baskets for extra storage. So I can put my purse and snacks for Ava in one. The other can hold a blanket if she gets cold or even toys. A lot of the travel strollers on the market don’t even come with one!

Number 4:
She’s super secure and safe. You have a harness that goes across her chest that we can adjust to her size easily. Plus depending on her mood we can put her in two riding positions: upright or recline. She loves upright so she can see everything/everyone who passes her. There is also a foot rest that you can also adjust as well.

I'm so happy with this choice! Mostly because I already have a Maxi-Cosi stroller - so things like closing the harness wasn’t intimidating to me. It’s definitely one to check out if your looking for a good travel stroller that is going to be durable and won’t take up a lot of space on your next trip.

  5. I didn't do enough research on strollers before baby was born. This would have made me think twice as it sounds like an amazing stroller.
