Before/After: Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser

Right before Valentine's day, I had a horrible break out.  I don't know if it stress-induced or whatever but it wasn't going away. TIn the beginning of February, I was sent the new Biore deep pore charcoal cleanser ($9.99 CAN).
Skin acting up? Meet Charcoal. The new secret weapon from the BiorĂ©® Skincare Experts. Draw out and trap 2x more dirt and impurities than a basic cleanser with this innovative black cleanser that foams white and rinses clean. Infused with Japanese Skin Purifying Technology, this facial cleanser gives you results after just one use!

Ugh... It's embarrassing to show this image but it's only to show progress.

What's the verdict?
I love it! I'm extremely surprised to see that I get a really good deep cleanse from a product that doesn't have any micro beads in it. Similar to other biore products, after you finish washing your face you do get that tingling feeling. Or the "clean feeling" as my brother calls it. The formula is pretty cool because in the bottle it looks pretty dark but once pumped it's a light grey with little black specs which I assume is the charcoal. Honestly one squirt is all you need.

AFTER SHOT
Clear skin no blemishes.

June Empties: Garnier, Maybelline & Biore

Anyone else guilty of trying another product before finishing the one that you started? I am. As a beauty blogger, it's the usual but I totally need to do better. I will try to finish at LEAST three products each month. Keyword TRY.

This month, I finished three products that I would recommend.

Biore- ULTRA deep cleansing pore strips
I can't believe I didn't try these earlier! They are different than the regular strips because they are formulated with tea tree oil, menthol and witch hazel. You can feel them as they work. I feel like I need these in bulk!

Maybelline Clean Express Facial Towelettes
I personally prefer to remove my makeup first with a towelette then wash my face. To save money, I usually tear them in half. The formula contains moringa seed extract which helps remove impurities and improve skin texture.

Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo

I'm always on the hunt for a good shampoo! This formula contains no paraben, silicone or dye. After using it my scalp is clean and my feels soft. Plus it smells really good.

Have you tried any of these products?

Biore Girls Night In!

A few weeks ago, Biore gave me the opportunity to host a Girl's Night In at my house. This was the first event that i've hosted at my house in 20 years! I was nervous but it ended up going really well.
The night consisted of cupcakes, facials, manicures and fun. The lovely ladies of Spa Party worked their magic on us while we watched the latest episode of Fashion Star!
Aren't these cupcakes gorgeous!
My number one weakness..next to make up and clothes of course.
I've been using Biore for years. I love the new packing revamp because its modern and simple.
Also the color coding system depending on skin types is straight forward.

Deep Cleansing (blue), Complexion Clearing (orange), and Make-up Removing (pink).

One of  my new favorites is the Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser.
Every lady had the opporunity to use it and raved how soft it make their skin feel after.

Speaking of facials.. I documented the process Jennifer from Spa Party did on the lovely Rina.
Her skin is flawless!

She used the Make-up Removing towelettes to get off any dirt, oil or make-up off her face.
The Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser was rubbed on in a circular motion all over her face.
Avoiding her eye and lip areas.
The Complexion Clearing Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser was
put on her face in the same method as the balancing cleanser.
She then laid a warm cloth on her face and gently wiped off the cleanser.
Lastly, she finished with a toner & moisturizer.

If you haven't tried the new Biore products, I suggest that you visit your local drugstore soon. I know the range is tailored for "20 somethings" but it can be used on any skin type.

Each lucky lady walked away with their own goody bag and a cupcake.
Thank you Biore for showing us a good time!

Biore Daily Cleansing Cloths Review

One of the goodies I got from the TBB event was the Biore Daily Cleansing cloths. I have a lot of cleansing products but a good package of wipes can make anyone's life easier.

These pre-moistened portable cloths provide gentle exfoliating action that cleans deep down to the pores to give you an essential daily dose of exfoliation and recharge skin anytime, anywhere leaving it feeling vibrant and glowing. Clinically proven to remove dirt, oil and make-up – even waterproof mascara – with no greasy residue.

When I come home from a night out, I need a quick alternative to cut down steps to get to bed. The first I do is rip the cloths in half. Since I use them on my eyes there is no need to waste a whole cloth. Then I gently press the cloth on my lid to "breakdown" the makeup. Then I wipe it off.
Pro:
Alcohol-free
Quick
Not messy
Thick cloth
Nice scent

Con:
Doesn't take off all my waterproof makeup

 Conclusion
It gets most of the makeup off but will never replace my daily routine. Since there is more pros then cons I would recommend this product.

Ladies have you tried these cloths before?
