SLEEK MAKEUP The Gold Standard i-Lust Eyeshadow Palette eye look

It's been months since I have actually done a makeup look. I had a challenge with Fashion Magazine's Beauty Panel to create a holiday party look. I knew the eyes was an important piece to set the mood.. so I decided to try out the Sleek The Gold Stand I-Lust eyeshadow palette ($11.49 USA).

Let me start off by saying this is a BEAUTY. A true gem from their Limited Edition 24 Karat Gold Collection. This is totally the palette to have in your possession, if you're trying to get noticed this season. The Glitz and glamour of this six shade palette comes with four silky shimmer powders and two pigmented cream formulas.

Jet Set into Fall with Revlon- London

Revlon Canada gave a few bloggers the opportunity to participate in a challenge which allowed us to receive products based on a fashionable city. We had no idea what city we were getting ahead of time. I was so happy that I got London, England!

When I was younger, I spent a few summers in England with my Granddad and Grandmother. From early age, I've had the opportunity to experience London's Fashion forward culture and loved it.
I still have some of the items in my closet, years later.

Revlon's London look is an intense smoky eye with a natural lip!

Makeup Products:
  • Revlon Colorstay ShadowLinks- Onyx & Gunmetal ($3.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Blackout ($10.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black ($10.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh ($13.59 CAN)

-Glide charcoal along inner corner of the eye to outer crease creating an angled line. Use Onyx to extend the line slightly outside the outer edge and blend colors together.
-Create definition by using liner on upper lash line and outer edges of lower lash line. Apply Onyx along the liquid line to add sparkle. Finish with mascara.
-Keep lips neutral with London Posh.

This is actually the first time that I 've used the eyeshadows.
I was pretty excited to see how pigmented they were!
Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black
This is a holy grail product! It's the darkest mascara that I've seen on the market.

Final look with Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh applied.

Winged Eyeliner & Wine Lips

My signature look this year has been pretty simple- Wing liner & bold plum lips. It's quick and effortless. This post was apart of Challenge Four for Fashion magazine's Beauty Panel.

I'm constantly asked how do I get my line so perfect. I will tell you it takes a lot of practice but a good eye liner is key. You can use pencil, liquid, cake or gel liners to get the look.

For time sake, I use liquid liners. I also make sure I get the deepest black. I find it pops on my skin tone and also brings out the brown in my eyes.

For this particular look I used Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Eye Liner from Milani. The liner is thin, pointy and deep. People who are new to eye liner may like it because it has a grip. If you still can't get your liner straight, make sure to have some precision qtips on hand to clean up the mess.

What is your favourite liquid eyeliner?

Make Up For Ever All Eyes On You Set + Holiday Look

One of my top five favourite beauty brands has to be Make Up For Ever. They have something for EVERY skin tone. Plus their products are vibrant and always pigmented. I was lucky to get my hands on a Limited Edition All Eyes On You Set.

A limited-edition set of MAKE UP FOR EVER’s essential products to transform your look from soft shimmer to dramatic glamour.
The set comes with:
  • HD High Definition Powder
  • Aqua Cream in 16 Pink Beige (pinky beige shimmer)
  • Aqua Eyes in Mat Black 0L (black)
  • Aqua Eyes in Dark Grey 21L (dark metallic grey)
  • Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara
I had a holiday work at lunch and I had no idea what look to do. I decided to try out their directions Soft Shimmer Look! It's the perfect option for someone like me who doesn't a lot of wear makeup to work.

The Look:

Directions:
  • Apply Aqua Cream #16 across the eyelid from the inner to the outer corner.
  • Using Aqua Eyes #21L, line the upper lash line and smudge to soften.
  • Apply Smoky Lash mascara to the top lashes in a zigzag motion.
  • Finish with HD Microfinish Powder.
I did almost everything above but I added a few modifications. Just to define my eye a bit more I used Aqua Eyes in Mat Black 0L (black) to line my top and bottom lid. I then applied Aqua Cream #16 on my lips and added a clear gloss over it. I finished of the look with the Make Up For Ever HD foundation in 178.

I'll be 100% honest and tell you that I never wear pink eye shadows. I don't like how it looks on my skin tone but Aqua Cream #16 looked great on me. It kinda reminded me of a rose gold more than a pinky beige shimmer.

This set is sold at Sephora and is originally $65 but now it's currently on sale for $50!
