Revlon Kiss™ Cushion Lip Tint

Ava Rose is literally my world. While I husband is at work- I stay home and maintain my business.... Plus take care of her daily. So when it’s time to go out- I usually have a bare face.

As always, I'm looking for products which are going to make my day easier.

The girls on twitter have been talking about the new Revlon Kiss Cushion Lip Tint that has been popping-up in stores. When I got the email to try them I jumped on because of the word “tint”. That means that after my wild day that hopefully I will have a tint of something on my lips.

I miss the times where I could sit and do my whole face.
I am lucky if I get to do my eyebrows!

Testing out Revlon ColorStay 2-in-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer

This is a follow up of my popular Revlon ColorStay 2-in-1 Compact Makeup & Concealer (19.99 CAN) post I did in February.

Let me do a quick rundown, in case you missed the original post. This 2-in-1 compact is all you need. Black plastic packaging- Foundation and concealer together with a tear-shaped sponge beneath, totally eliminating clutter. Perfect for me since I’m forever misplacing my concealer!

I originally tried 400 Caramel which really wasn’t my tone. So I was given the colour 410 Cappuccino which is the deepest colour in the line.

This is a medium-heavy coverage foundation with a satin-matte finish.

Disclaimer- When wearing a matte finish. It’s important to have a really good skin regime. I’m talking about cleansing, exfoliating the dead skin off, toning and moisturizing. If you neglect this your foundation will not look its best.

Testing what colour works for you:
Always use your jaw, not the side of your arm or your hand. You may pick a foundation that looks amazing on your hand and when you get home and try it…completely off. As with other compact foundations, the colour in the compact may appear darker than it will on your skin so Revlon suggests using the smaller concealer shade as a reference point for proper shade matching in-store before you buy.

Totally embarrassing but my skin has come a long way in the past few months; some slight discolouration on my cheeks, under my eyes and around my nose.

BEFORE

With one application of 410 Cappuccino, most of it is covered. Just a few areas that need extra attention. I added 410 Cappuccino concealer on top of the foundation (I put a circle on top to show you the colour difference). Depending on your preference, you can blend this out and be done with your look or add foundation on top for extra coverage.

The finished look.

I would recommend using a sponge or fingers for this product. The product comes with a sponge—it’s under the second layer along with a hidden mirror, which is really handy. The consistency is very creamy and blendable. Not dry like most matte formulas. This is a foundation worth trying! There are 12 colours in the range to choose from. Let me know what you think below!

This post was brought to you by Revlon but the images and opinions are my own.

What about length and volume?

Jet Set into Fall with Revlon- London

Revlon Canada gave a few bloggers the opportunity to participate in a challenge which allowed us to receive products based on a fashionable city. We had no idea what city we were getting ahead of time. I was so happy that I got London, England!

When I was younger, I spent a few summers in England with my Granddad and Grandmother. From early age, I've had the opportunity to experience London's Fashion forward culture and loved it.
I still have some of the items in my closet, years later.

Revlon's London look is an intense smoky eye with a natural lip!

Makeup Products:
  • Revlon Colorstay ShadowLinks- Onyx & Gunmetal ($3.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Blackout ($10.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black ($10.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh ($13.59 CAN)

-Glide charcoal along inner corner of the eye to outer crease creating an angled line. Use Onyx to extend the line slightly outside the outer edge and blend colors together.
-Create definition by using liner on upper lash line and outer edges of lower lash line. Apply Onyx along the liquid line to add sparkle. Finish with mascara.
-Keep lips neutral with London Posh.

This is actually the first time that I 've used the eyeshadows.
I was pretty excited to see how pigmented they were!
Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black
This is a holy grail product! It's the darkest mascara that I've seen on the market.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy™ Longwear Nail Enamels

I'm just adding another cure-less gel polish to your list of must-haves.
Don't get me wrong.. I love gel-based cure polishes but the removal is a pain.
Who has time to stick their hands in acetone or spend time picking it off (damaging their nail beds).
Not I!

I've been playing with the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy™ Longwear Nail Enamel ($8.99 CAN) for a couple months.
I just received the perfect fall nail colour from them in the mail- so I decided to share them.
*******I have other colours, if you would like them swatched*******

So far, I have tried a few polish based gel polish brands. For me, the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy™ Longwear Nail Enamel is equal or if not a little bit better (due to the 2 step process) then the L'Oreal Extraordinaire Gel-Lacquer. At the bottom of the totem pole is the CND Vinylux polishes

The only con I have about the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy polishes is that you should not add more then two coats of colour. I did it and it took a really long to dry.
Other than that these are pretty fantastic!

Walmart Back to School challenge: Makeup #1

It's always good to have a quick and easy back to school look.
I remember getting to college was 90 mins to 2 hours bus and train ride.
For three years, I had to wake up really early -just to make sure I'd get there on time.

I had only five minutes to get my routine down.
My three go-to products were: Eyeliner, mascara and lip colour.

Well all know the best place to get all your skincare/beauty needs is at Walmart!
I was given the opportunity to visit my local Walmart and shop in-store to complete a

Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner Swatches

Liners are the quickest way to enhance up your look.
For over a year, I've been a gold shimmer, cat eye and black liner girl.
Time to switch it up!

I've been playing around with Revlon Colorstay Eyeliners ($9.99 CAN).
    Why these liners are awesome:

  • Built-in sharpener/Smudger
  • Waterproof

Smudger one end and sharpener on the other side

Currently Obsessed: Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain™: Lip Swatches

I like when you immediately fall in love with a product when you first swatch it. It's been a rare occurrence lately (why I haven't done a currently obsessed post in a while). Right now, I'm into pigmented lip products which can last all day with a minimal maintenance.

I'm currently obsessed with Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stains ($13.00 CDN).

Give lips rich, glossy shine without stickiness. Weightless formula moisturizes with aloe and vitamin E.

Here is a product that does exactly what you want it to do. We all love stains but sometimes avoid them because they are SO drying! The combination of the gloss and stain is perfect. I can always re-apply and it never looks heavy.

The gloss keeps your lips soft after it wears off.
I should also add- If you have pigmented lips these colours still shine through.

Update Your Look with Revlon! #shop #cbias

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Lately... I feel like I'm in a make up rut.
What does that mean exactly?

My look is so basic at the moment. Tinted lip balm and mascara.
My days have been divided into working and planning a wedding- so I have no time to get dolled up.

Since summer is here, it's time to make a change and start playing with new products.
I went to Loblaws to pick up some goodies for my new look.
Let me start off by saying- I've never shopped for makeup in a grocery store before.
Perfect time to try it out for my #CollectiveBias post.

My initial thoughts about Revlon (makeup) being sold in Loblaws.

Pros
Convenience
  • (Get your fruits and makeup needs in one location)

Cons
Selection
  • (Not as stocked as a drug store)
  • (Not a lot of the new release products)
  • (Messy)
  • (I saw no sales!)

I hardly seen any of the new Revlon products which are shown in the magazines.
No Lip stains or shadow compacts from the new collection.

I love matte lips. So I had to get a Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm ($9.99 CAN)!
This is probably the BEST matte lip product that you can get for under $10.00!
Long lasting & very pigmented. I debated getting this in pink or red.
I decided to put this colour back and go with a signature red lip.

I needed a product to create my famous cat eye which usually requires a lot of precision.
Picked up the new Revlon ColorStay Skinny Liquid Liner (8.99 CAN). The tip is tiny!
Probably one of the smallest ones I've seen on the market.

To finish of the look I went with Revlon Lash Potion Volume + Length Mascara ($12.99 CAN).
It's a "wet" mascara but works well when you let it dry in-between coats.
Again the convenience of grocery shopping and getting makeup is pretty awesome!

Quick makeup breakdown:

If I'm going to purchase Revlon- I'd probably go to a drugstore for variety, quantity and sales.
