Fenty Beauty Advice from Sephora Beauty Advisors

On Friday, my day started out by going to a fully stocked Sephora at 10AM to swatch foundations and highlighters. The best part is EVERYTHING I wanted was in stock! **Pats myself on the back** Man I was overwhelmed but not. I’m my opinion the line is VERY simple at the moment. No red/fuchsia lips, mascara or eyeliners. I wanted to buy something that I didn’t have… don’t laugh.

RiRi Hearts MAC Eye Shadow Palette Her Cocoa Palette Pictures + Swatches

I love Rihanna's make up looks. She usually wears a lot of golds with a bit of bronze to make her eyes pop.

Her effortless look consists of gold on the lid. Bronze in the crease. Shimmery highlight and matte gold in the inner eye.

So it's not coincidental that she created a MAC palette which has all the colours you need.

Perfect neutral palette which can be used for every season. Not just Fall!

This post was just for swatches.

What are you getting?

MAC Ririwoo Love

If you follow me on IG or twitter you will know that I've been speaking about this lipstick nonstop since February! I'm so happy and lucky that I got my hands on one. After waiting in cue for almost 30 minutes and then waiting 5 days for it arrive- I was so happy when it turned up on my doorstep!
I had Ruby woo but I lost it recently (in other words it got lost in the pile of lipsticks I own). This is the perfect replacement. Its pigmented, long lasting and gorgeous. Plus it's designed by Rihanna herself! I think the Retro matte formula has to be one of my favourite MAC formulas of all time. It's dry- so if you don't like dry mattes this is not for you. On Mother's day I wore this lipstick all day and it didn't budge. I just use an oil based remover to take it off.

It's so gorgeous!

If you missed out on this lipstick, you will have the chance to get it in June! No word if it will be sold in stores yet.

Fashion: The Garter/Suspender Trend

I love a great pair of pantyhose! It's a great item to throw on when you don't want to bare a lot of leg. The look of pantyhose is evolving!  Ladies are going beyond the sheer/fishnet look and are going for something much more risque!

I've been eying the garter/suspender trend for a while now. When I first saw Rihanna rocking it, I HAD to have it. I also knew off the bat that it was originated in UK.I really wanted these but I'm sure that I'd have to wait a LONG time for them to be delivered from UK to Canada.

I'm pretty sure that Rih is rocking the House of Holland for Pretty Polly Mesh Super Suspender Tights! The same tights that I recieved for review from Alexblake.com.

Alexblake.com is a new America based site that carries American brands as well as a wide range of fabulous European brands, many of which you can’t ordinarily find in North America.

I love them because they are risqué but don't show a lot!
They look really cute with a pair of short shorts but I wore mine with an over-sized sweater dress.

Is this trend for you?

Stiletto Nails- Hot or Not?

Have you seen them on your favourite celebrities such as Rihanna, Adele, Lady Gaga or Beyonce?
Rihanna Source: Google
I have a love/hate relationship with them.
They're very unique but kinda scary. Definitely not corporate office friendly (in my opinion).
Imagine the stares I would get if I was conducting a presentation with those bad boys. Oh man!
Since I'm about to cut my nails off, so I decided to play around with the trend a bit.

I should have taken pictures of my process but it was sooooo basic.
All I did was take a nail file and file the edges of my nails until they came to a point.
I know I didn't get the claw look but you get the point(pun intended).

Are Stiletto Nails- Hot or Not?

Jean Vest inspiration for Spring/Summer: Rihanna, Kim K, Nicki & Keri Hilson

I love the combinations that you can rock them with.
Jeans, tights, shorts, skirts.. the combinations are limitless.
Check out some of my favorite picks:

Rihanna: Cropped with white slashed denim

Nicki Minaj: Graphic v-neck top

Keri Hilson: Black tank top & leather pants

Kim Kardashian: White tank top & tights

Would you rock them?

Fall 2011 Beauty: Annabelle Smudgepaint in Skyline Review

I've been on the hunt for a Navy blue eyeliner since I seen this picture of Rihanna.

Every product I used so far to get this look has been either too dark, light, dry or just plain ugly.

I gave up recently until I got the chance to try out Annabelle Smudgepaint in Skyline!

Creamy gel-shadow + liner with a velvety smooth, crease free, smudge free texture that will survive anything life throws at you! Its long-lasting waterproof formula glides on easily for a mess free look.
Liner Breakdown:
PROS:
Multifunction- can be used as a liner and "shadow"
Rich pigmented color
Creamy & easy to use
Pretty long lasting

CONS:
Some may forget to clean the brush because it's built inside the handle.

Here is a picture of skyline. I didn't line my bottom lid heavily because I was going out to dinner.
Love this color on my skintone!

Ladies if you see these in stores.. pick them up!!
I think these are definitely some of my Fall must haves.

Are you a fan of Navy blue eyeliner?

I'm loving fish tail braids!

You would think after growing up with braids, I would hate them. Yes, in certain cases they may look elementary but it's the easiest way to glam up a look.

I became fascinated with Fish Tail Braids earlier this year when I seen Rihanna wear it on stage. This picture is actually from earlier this week... She wore a white Dolce & Gabbana dress which probably cost over $1,000!!! When you think about it she could have done a head full of curls,  intricate updo or fun beach waves... but she chose a fish tail braid.

What to learn how to do a Fish Tail Braid?? Follow these directions from MTV Style:

STEP 1: Divide the hair you want to braid into two equal sections.

STEP 2: Start the fishtail braid by holding the right section with your right hand. Then, using your left hand, pick up a small chunk of hair from the outside of the left section and cross it over to the inside of the right section.

STEP 3: Repeat on the other side: Hold the left section in your left hand. Use your right hand to pick up a small chunk of hair from the outer right section and cross it over to the inside of the left section.

STEP 4: Continue picking up small sections and crossing them over until you reach the ends of your hair.

STEP 5: Secure with an elastic (like Sephora's Snag-Free Hair Elastics, $3.50), and spray the braid with a little shine spray like Smooth N' Shine Scalp & Breakage Miracle's Root to Tip Oil Sheen Spray ($3.99, drugstore.com) to seal in moisture and boost shine. And you're all set!
