Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara Review

One of the most popular MUFE mascaras is their Smoky Lash formula ($22US). Last November at IMATS I got my hands on one for the discounted price of $15.00 CDN. Honestly I had so much mascaras open at the time, so I didn't open this one for a few months.

OMG!!!
I was totally missing out this mascara is freaking amazing!
A mascara that gives the lashes curl, volume, length, and intense pigment.

Lets face it most curl-lengthening-voluminous mascara clump after the first coat! I was able to do up to three coats and get a great look. Also the color was a true black, not grey like other mascaras.

Lashes with NO Mascara:
My lashes are pretty full & decent length
WITH Mascara:
Much better!
Overall:
I would definitely recommend this mascara. I know its not your typical drugstore mascara price but sometimes you need to treat yourself. The formula is creamy and not super wet. This makes building coats easier to achieve your desired look.

You can find this mascara at Sephora.

Random Post: Love the dress!

I absolutely love this dress but the accessories don't match at all. This is totally a random post but I know someone out there will appreciate it!

OOTD: Pop of Color to start off spring

The official first day of Spring was March 21, but so far in Canada the weather has been wonky. If your like me (sinus issues+allergies) this time is HELL. The conflicting weather is killing me! Warm one day.. cold the next :l As depressing as this sounds my bf and I decided to go to the beach in my city. Haha I know we're crazy but the bricks make a great back drop for pictures. Expect more of these as the weather gets better :D

To keep my sprints up I decided to wear a yellow scarf! You wouldn't believe how much warmth this color gives your face.. especially when your battling the winter blues:
Scarf: Suzy Shier
Jacket: H&M
Boots: gojane.com

I should have taken a separate picture of this bag. Its massive and I love the fact that it goes over my chest. Its the perfect shopping bag when you don't want to hold or pay for a bag.

Hope you all enjoyed :)

What item are you wearing to bring in spring?

Love Package from Rai

After a long seven months Rai and I swapped our Love packages. If you haven't already go follow her now: http://www.glam-morena.com/

Lets get started on this lovely haul:

  1. Soap & Glory: The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser- I seen a blog review on it once and the before and after pictures made me want to buy it. The obvious issue is that I could find the particular item in Zellers or SDM, so I'm happy Rai got me a tube. The crappy part is that there is suppose to be a cloth in the box but someone stole it :(
  2. L'oreal Infallible Beyonce Red- this color is gorgeous. I wish I could remember which blogger I seen wear it :|  It's long lasting and fab.. This is definitely the type of lipstick to wear on a night out. Minimal touch up required :D
  3. Nail polishes from China Glaze & WnW: Zombie Zest- Ick-A-Body-Mummy May I & Party of Five Glitters.

  1. OMG isn't that necklace amazing!!! I first seen it at F21 in Fairview mall but it had a scratch. I left it in the store and never saw it again. So happy I got one now.
  2. Sleek palette in original. So gorgeous and pigmented.
Hello Kitty tee from F21! This would be fab with a pair of  light denim short or acid washed jeans :)
Last but least fab accessories from F21!
*I also got a 2 finger-ring in my package but I was wearing it and I forgot to take a picture.
Thanks Rai!

Have you guys tried any of these products?

Foundation Series: Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I'm so excited to start my foundation series. At least once a month I will highlight a foundation that I truly love. Since I work a early 8-3 I don`t have time to put on apply foundation..so weekends is my time to play. The first foundation I fell in love with was Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation in 178.

If you follow me on twitter you will constantly hear me fave about this product. Yes, its pricey for the drugstore consumer but its really worth it.

Here is a picture of me wearing MUFE-HD in natural day light. Its so easy to rave about this product with flash but natural light is where you get to see the true beauty! As you can tell there is NO white cast..

The formula is light and I usually apply it with a sponge or my Sigma F80. Lastly my favorite setting powder when I`m using it is MAC mineralized finish natural deep dark.

Here is a picture with flash. As you can see again, NO white cast. Also the foundation is blendable! In the summer I use it with a wet sponge to get light coverage.

Have you used Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation? What do you think?

Microdermabrasion and cold laser light therapy treatment at Fresh.Beautiful

Back in January I went for my first microdermabrasion and cold laser light therapy treatment at Fresh Beautiful. I was scared as hell but intrigued at the benefits that it has on various skin types.
fresh.beautiful: the skin studio is about providing a natural and non-invasive approach to cleaner, healthier and brighter skin. We focus on understanding your personal skin issues and determining its needs. Our end goal is to develop a special skin therapy tailor-made just for you.
I suffer from scarring on my cheeks from pimples... I'm lucky that I don't have indents but I wanted a clean even skin tone. Here is more on the process:
This process clears away the skins surface layer, revealing a new, brighter layer. This mild resurfacing of the skin has also stimulates the production of new skin cells. Then nurture your epidermis with cold laser light your skin, which protects, hydrates, and replenishes the skin. Laser therapy also allows Fresh Beautiful’s gel products to penetrate the deeper layers to stimulate, rejuvenate, and heal the skin. Reap the benefits of the combination of these two procedures and you will reveal brighter, healthier skin.
They have two locations: Ajax and Toronto. My treatment was with Lori in Toronto. Before anything started I explained my skin situation. I kinda feel bad because I asked so much questions. I feel like I overwhelmed her but it was best to know everything before I started the procedure.

Pictures from skin prep- microdermabrasion-clean off:

 Experience:
I have very sensitive skin, so some areas were tender...especially on my cheekbones. Lori was very careful to avoid those areas. Also she guided me through the whole process by telling me about the products she used and why.

Some people I talked to about microdermabrasion and cold laser light therapy told me that they had instant skin gratification. I didn't... It took me about a week to actually see results. I personally think it was because I went during a time when my skin was irradiated from a breakout.

Its April and I can tell you that my skin is 100% better. My random breakout are NOT as severe at all. Also my skin care regime works much better.

Ladies have you ever had a Microdermabrasion and cold laser light therapy treatment? If so, what did you think about it?

Wooo good skin week and no bangs

This is in no way shape or form a vain blog post.. If you follow me on twitter you will hear me ranting about my random acne which ruins my confidence from time to time.
Lately I have been noticing that my acne isn't as severe it was before... I think a good percentage has to do with my Microdermabrasion and Cold Laser treatment I got from fresh.beautiful in January. That is another blog post that I explain with pictures I got from my photographer.

African Black Soap
My new skincare regime is African Black Soap, Body Shop Tea Tree Oil  & Moisturizer. Also I use Queen Helene Oatmeal mask to exfoliate. Please let me know if you want a review or even pictures of the products for reference.

My girls with skin issues know how epic it is to have a good skin day..so I had to capture it. As for the hair.. I`m trying out a middle part. Right now I am hating it. I`m use to my comfort blanket of bangs.

Maybe Ill cut them back in time for summer!
