Wooo good skin week and no bangs

This is in no way shape or form a vain blog post.. If you follow me on twitter you will hear me ranting about my random acne which ruins my confidence from time to time.

Lately I have been noticing that my acne isn't as severe it was before... I think a good percentage has to do with my Microdermabrasion and Cold Laser treatment I got from fresh.beautiful in January. That is another blog post that I explain with pictures I got from my photographer.

African Black Soap 

My new skincare regime is African Black Soap, Body Shop Tea Tree Oil  & Moisturizer. Also I use Queen Helene Oatmeal mask to exfoliate. Please let me know if you want a review or even pictures of the products for reference.

My girls with skin issues know how epic it is to have a good skin day..so I had to capture it. As for the hair.. I`m trying out a middle part. Right now I am hating it. I`m use to my comfort blanket of bangs.

CityLine Blogger Special + Tweet up

I had the chance to attend my first CityLine taping which was dedicated to bloggers like me! The audience was full of mainly on beauty, mom, decor and food bloggers. I was happy to see a few beauty bloggers I knew sitting in the audience.

I cant explain how amazing an experience it was..If you don't already know I have a diploma in Broadcasting-Film, Television and Film so, the organization and dedication of the show being put together was amazing. Definitely one of my dream jobs!

The coolest part of the day was the tweet up at Ritz Carlton!! Yes Ritz Carlton in Toronto. The hotel is gorgeous! Such a huge treat.

SMALLEST HAUL EVER! MAC Warehouse sale Winter 2011

Hey ladies!

I'm late on my haul sorry.. This is like the worlds most pitiful Mac Warehouse haul. If you have seen my past Warehouse Hauls.. you know there always massive but this time.. meh. The prices were higher than normal and I just didn't feel inspired! Maybe it`s a sign that I am growing up.. LMAO

My main goal was to get pinky-nude lipsticks for spring. The first one that caught my eye was MAC Romancin! This color is gorgeous. Perfect for ALL skin tones. I`m so upset to hear that it is a LE lipstick. Hopefully I can find a dupe once I finish this one.

The second lipstick I got was MAC inner hue. This one is more of a coral.. I totally don't remember picking this one up..  Since its a lustre lipstick, goes on sheer and looks like lip gloss.

The last lipstick I don`t need at all! But who can pass up a nude from Estee Lauder. That gold tube..lmao I had to get it.

I was extremely happy to find this eyeliner. It not white but a pale yellow.. This color looks sooo much better on my skin tone because it`s not as striking as white!

Last but not least the gift pack! MAC mineralized lotion, boy bait cremesheen, mineralized foundation in medium deep & lashes.

FOTD: Jennifer Hudson Inspired make up look using Annabelle Cosmetics

This look has to be my favorite look I have done this year. The main reason I think it came out well is because I had a lot of time to perfect it. I will admit as a makeup junkie I neglect a few brands, but after re-organizing my kit I found my Annabelle Cosmetics quad: Gold Digger, Metallic Meltdown, Bronzed idol and Snowflake.

Here is the look. I know it`s not an exact replica but you can tell I was defined inspired by the bronze, gold and red lips.

Random fact about me I love Jennifer Hudson! It`s not just because she has an amazing name :) But because she has been through soo much and always keeps on smiling. There is definitely a lot to learn from her outlook on life.

The funniest thing is that I wore this look to the mall and movies. Sometimes I feel that you should just dress up and feel fab for one day..no questions asked :)

Nail of the day: BarryM Nail Paint in Indigo

A few weeks ago I purchased BarryM Nail Paint in Indigo from a blog sale! I couldn't wait to try it out, so I applied two coats.

I love how this color looks on my skin tone! I think this would look good with a white crackle polish on top :)

Lately I have been doing my nails every week in different colors and designs inspired by my favorite nail bloggers. I will keep posting them as their done.

Off the Shoulder tops- Hot or Not?

Here is another edition of Hot or Not? I received really good feedback on my last one about High Buns, I had to post another one!

For as long as I could remember I always covered up my arms. Long story short I hated the shape and always felt odd exposing them.. yeah :| I can't believe I'm sharing that but I know that there is another girls out there who feel the same!

My alternative to was always off the shoulder tops! They're classic, cute and creative :) Plus in my option they can NEVER go out of style.

This picture was taken earlier this month. *I took off the off tank after this pic was taken* The white was throwing me off....LOL.

One of my favorite looks is an off the shoulder top tucked into a high-wasited skirt --->

 Or an off-the shoulder top worn with cute jeans/leggings. 

I found a lot of pictures on-line of Vanessa rocking super cute off the shoulder tops.

Lately I'm feeling her style! She's about to dress up and down quite well.

I get most of my off the shoulder tops from H&M or Forever21.

Panasonic LUMIX FX77 has a Cosmetic and Beauty Retouch Mode?!?!

Your only a button way from teeth whiting or a face lift. I'm dead serious.. earlier this week I read about this camera and had to blog about it! I can't even explain it to you.. Click the pic below:

The camera is the Panasonic LUMIX FX77. I'm very ANTI-PHOTOSHOP ...well I have no issue with cleaning up small imperfections but overdoing your face until you have no features!! Not cute at all.

I'm so interested in this camera because of all of it's options... but as a blogger I feel like it takes all the fun out of FOTD's (face of the day's).

High Buns for Spring/Summer - Hot or Not?

High buns were in last Spring/Summer but I feel like they will make a come back this Spring/Summer. High buns are appropriate for every occasion! It all depends upon how the bun is situated on your head. Here are some great examples of cute high buns:

If I ever do a high bun I would incorporate the head band look into it:

Something New: THANN Cosmetics Rice lipbalm & Cleansing Milk

I recently got the opportunity to try out a all-natural, free of all parabens, colors and fragrances line called THANN. Their products are the exciting new eco-conscious choice for savvy consumers.

THANN Cleansing Milk:  Nano Shiso extract, Organic Jojoba & Moringa seed oil effectively removes color cosmetic residue and impurities, while protecting skin from harmful environment. Suitable for all skin types and does not cause skin irritation.

Although this product sounds good I had to put it through the Spiced Beauty Test.

I put a full face of makeup on my arm to show you guys how it works. From L to R: Lipstick, Foundation, Mascara, Blush, Lip liner & Liquid Eyeliner.

 I squirted a medium sized amount then rubbed in a circular motion.( As per the bottle)

 Wiped of the excess with a cotton pad.

Then I rinsed off my arm with warm water(As per the bottle)
Super Clean arm :)

Thann Rice extract lip balm: A soft and smooth texture of lip balm enriches with natural plant extracts that moisturizes and nourishes the lips. Rice bran oil contains Vitamin E that anti free radical. Aloe moisturizes the lips and has anti-inflammatory property. Shea Butter moisturizes and forms a water-repellent film to prevent moisture loss. Paraben Free with no artificial color or fragrance.

I love the lip balm because it "waterproof" I don't have apply it regularly. I usually wear it under my matte lipsticks but it can also be worn alone.

Nail of the day: BarryM Nail Effects take 2

I had to upgrade my BarryM mani. I decided to go with a play on spring which is taking forever to show it's self! I used two random bright polishes in my dash. The fuchsia is Funky Nails in Miss.Robinson.  The blue is the LA Color matte polish in matte turquoise.. I'm not feeling it.. chips way too fast!

I added CND supershiny as a top coat. I like it shiny!

Every Girl should have a Canon PowerShot!

No I was not paid to write this post. I am just sharing my new love I bought for myself recently. I always get asked the what camera do you use question. The camera I have been using lately is the Canon Powershot sd1400 IS.

If you have met me in real life you will know that I'm the girl with the "Big Camera" LOL. I'm much more comfortable going out with this baby. It fits in my purse and makeup bag.
