As moms, we spend so much time taking care of everybody else that we sometimes forget how important it is to still feel like our OLD self too. Oh gosh I miss her!
My birthday is coming up this month and of course that means I’ve already started searching for a new hairstyle. My thoughts: Bob, braids, long middle part, lob or curls. Honestly, changing my hair has always been one of those things that helps me feel refreshed without completely overhauling my life. It sounds small, but when you’re in the thick of motherhood, even something as simple as a new hairstyle and fresh brows can make you feel put together again. Even if it’s for two weeks haha!
The biggest challenge now is finding styles that actually work for my lifestyle. I need something cute, easy to maintain, and realistic for school runs, errands, content creation, and the million other things I fit into one day. I don’t have time to spend hours styling my hair every morning anymore. Hense why I’ve been doing braids but I need more.
That’s why I’ve been browsing Irresistible Me
lately because they have so many options that make it easier to switch things up without fully committing to a drastic change. FIRST- I’ve been especially loving the idea of clip-in extensions for added volume and length on days when I want to feel a little extra polished for content or events.
They also have ponytail extensions which honestly feel made for me because sometimes you just need something quick that still looks elevated. Pop on and off at night.
I’ve also been looking at different colour wigs because they’re comfortable, practical, but can be taken off at night. So if you see me in a light brown wig. Mind your business LOL.
Motherhood may constantly change you, but that doesn’t mean you stop discovering new versions of yourself along the way. It’s hard to believe/say but it’s true.
Sometimes reinventing yourself starts with something as simple as trying a new hairstyle and honestly, I’m here for it.
