How to Take Professional-Looking Toddler and Baby Photos at Home

Toddlers are absolutely the cutest thing in the world! Especially mine! Ava is an absolute doll. You might be interested in getting more professional pictures of their cuteness but need some help. After all, they'll be grown before you know it, why not preserve this moment of time before it's gone?
But professional photographs are expensive, right?

Doing a DIY photoshoot of your kid might seem daunting,
but it can be really fun to do!

Here are 3 tips for how to get your little one to settle down and pose for the camera.

Feed Them
General rule is 30 Mins to 1 Hour Before – Nothing gets toddlers more restless and cranky than hunger. Honestly, the same could probably be said of a lot of adults, too. But if you're looking to snap some cute pics of your little one, trying feeding them a little bit beforehand, the 30 min to 1 hour window will give you just enough time that they're not hungry again, but there is no risk of them spitting up either.

Let Them Be Themselves
Overly posed and modelled pics with your kiddo can be kinda boring, no? Try giving them some of their favourite toys to hold, or just letting them act spontaneously. I promise, it will make for a much better memory to frame.

Don't Stress
Stress has no place in trying to reason with a toddler. The more stressed you get, the more stressed they are going to get. Try to relax and have fun taking pics. If your kiddo is not feeling it right now, try again later.

DIY photoshoots with your toddler can be fun and rewarding for both of you.
And, needless to say, the pictures will be something that you will cherish forever.
