I love that I get the opportunity to try so try so many different foundations- all different finishes and textures. I have promised myself that I'm going to give myself 6-9 months to write about ALL of them currently in my possession! It's a serious task but it has to be done. As a dark skin girl, do you know how hard it is to find swatches or true images online? I won't leave you hanging!
These days it seems like there are a lot of brands out there that who feel like they have everything that what we want in a foundation.
But do they truly stack up??
Have you heard of the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24h Fresh Wear Foundation ($19.99 CAN) ? If you've struggled to find the right foundation that hits a few of your must have lists- this might be the way to go.
What it offers:
- Long-lasting, gives medium to full coverage, water resistant (including sweat) and, unlike some other foundations. I often hear peope speaking about how their foundation disappears off their face by the end of the day. NO ONE wants that!
- 30 shades to chose from! So a pretty good shade range: No matter how dark or light your skin tone.
- Transfer resistant, meaning it doesn't rub off every time you pull a shirt over your head like some other foundations do. You can save your white shirts or your signifiant others shirt!
The colour I was given was perfect for my Bahamas tan but I would say it's a shade darker than me in the Fall/Winter time. I believe I'd be a 530 Deep Amber but I was given 535 Expresso.
Applied to skin:
I personally thought that when applied with a beauty sponge it can also give you light coverage like what you see above. Like you can still see my dark spots but it's not as prevalent.
Overall, I think this foundation is an affordable choice compared to most of the other high end options out there on the market.
I don't use a lot of liquid foundation but if I can find one that sweat resistance and medium coverage, count me in!
ReplyDeleteI’ve never tried this but if looks more like a light weight natural glow makeup look
