Currently Obsessed: Mary Kay’s Clear Proof Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask

I’m so excited that skin care is making a comeback. I’m obsessed with it and live for a good skin day. Random fact about me: I started making my own skin care masks when I was 10. My friends and I use to get together and create some really crazy mixes. I’m happy that if I need to remedy a skin care issue there is a product for that!

Limited-Edition Mary Kay Glossy Lip Oil

I'm ready for Spring. Like really READY. I'm sooo tired of wearing this big jacket everywhere and not being able to show off my pedi (first world problems). I have been playing around with a lot of Spring makeup daily. Mary Kay was one of the first companies to kick off Spring for me. The first thing that caught my eye was the Limited-Edition Glossy Lip Oil.

This innovative lip oil provides a comfortable application with a non-sticky, luminous shine.

Currently Obsessed: Mary Kay® Perfecting Concealer™

Its been a while, since I have completely fallen in love with a new concealer. I have a few products that have run out and I have not replenished yet. Literally, it is the perfect colour for me.

Im extremely proud of Mary Kay!

Check out the Mary Kay skinvigorate Cleansing Brush

A new skin care gadget is on the market.
It's the Mary Kay® skinvigorate™($60.00 CDN).

I'm all for new skin care innovations which make my life easier. I think I've tried almost every single skin care device on the market but this is quite unique because of it's features.

Features:
  • White & pink
  • Small (perfect for travelling)
  • Two-speed power brush
  • Two brush heads in the package
I love it's small size but I think I'm more impressed with the two-speed options. I find that most skin care devices under $100 only come with one speed. That one speed is not suitable for every user. When my skin is overly sensitive using a device with one speed is the worst thing I can do. Now I can use my skinvigorate™on the lowest setting and not worry about anything.

Out of all of the brush heads I've tried, I have to say that these are one of the softest.
I'd recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin.

Mary Kay recommends four steps to get great skin this holiday season:
  • Remove eye makeup
  • Wet face/brush head and apply favourite Mary Kay® cleanser to face
  • Turn on speed control to the speed you prefer
  • Use gentle motions on cheeks, nose, chin and forehead (approximately 15 seconds per area); avoid eye area

Would you use a skincare device like this?

My Top Five Favourite Products for Fall

Time for me to get back on track with my monthly favourites. This month was really good for me. I kept my makeup at a minimum but have five favourites which I brought with me everywhere! Thank God I carry a large purse.

Mary Kay® Kohl Eyeliner in Golden Illusion ($18.00 CDN)
In almost every makeup look I do, I highlight my inner corners. I love using rich golds because they make my eyes pop. This kohl applies so smoothly. Which is important when you're dealing with delicate areas like your eyes! Plus it's smear-proof.

Victoria Secret Sheer Body Lotion ($24.00 CDN)
I wash my hands a lot. It's Fall and I'm trying my best NOT to get sick! I love the scent of Victoria.
Key notes are: Red berries, Victoria rose and crème brûlée. Isn't that yummy! It's a sweet and sexy scent which is not too powerful to be worn in the office.

Almay color + care liquid lip balm ($8.95 CDN)
I've been in love with these for months. I got a sneak peak  back in June at an Almay event. LOVE them! They're non-sticky, shiny, conditioning and pigmented. They also show up on pigmented lips like mine. I should add that they are gluten-free & hypoallergenic.

Clinique Superprimer Face Primers ($29.99 CDN)
It's very important to use a primer when you're going to wear foundation. Primers make your foundation last longer and usually have some additional benefits. Clinique has come out with a long list of primers. I should add that there is one that colour corrects dullness in deeper skin tones!  It's not chalky like other primers and it's very lightweight. In the formula, there are very tiny micro-crystals which I assume make your skin took more illuminated.  I would definitely add this to my list of top 5 primers for dark skin.

L'oreal Super Slim liquid liner (10.99 CDN)
I love slim liners. They give me more precision to choose the type of liner I want. This formula is quick drying and long lasting. This is really important in the winter. It's also suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

Have you tried any of these products?

Currently Obsessed: Mary Kay Brush Cleaner

I'm always on the hunt for a good brush cleaner! Issues I've had in the past are overpowering scents or it takes way to long for the brushes to dry. Let me say this first- In my opinion a cleanser doesn't substitute as a deep clean.

Mary Kay Brush Cleaner ($12.00 CDN) quick-drying cleaner removes makeup and really cleans your brushes.

  • Helps to provide stay-true color between applications of different shades and textures.
  • Helps condition bristles to protect your investment.
  • Brushes feel new and perform like new after use.
  • Keeps brushes smelling clean and fresh.
  • Brushes dry in their original shape.

Directions on the bottle state that you should spray directly on the brush hairs. I prefer to spray directly on the paper towel. Then I sweep the brush back and forth to get the product out.

I really like how quick it gets the product out. Plus it smells really fresh!

I also tried it on a sponge brush. It worked but I do recommend deep cleaning sponges.

Are you a fan of brush cleaners?
