Trends: Skater Dresses

If I could wear a dress everyday I would.
I love how flirty & feminine they are.
Now a-days there are so many styles to choose from maxi, midi, mini or bodycon- the list goes on.

One dress style that looks good on everyone is the skater style.

The fit and flare of a skater dress works with all body types.
It has a fitted bodice and (at times) a pleated or full skirt.

You can also play it up with a cute belt or add a cute chunky necklace.

Are you feeling the skater dress trend?

Trend: Golden Bronze and Nude Makeup

There are a few trends out there which are appropriate for all 365 days. Golden-Bronze is definitely one of them.

I've seen bronze incorporated in to EVERY Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter look.

It has been a while since I posted a beauty look. I had some brand new Golden Bronze shadows from Annabelle/Marcelle and I felt like this would be the perfect time to wear them.

To complete the look I used my Maybelline BB cream in Deep. Since I was going to an event indoors, I decided to matifiy it. Just add a squirt or two of a silicone primer to your BB cream. It works wonders!

I used my Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in 178 because I couldn't find my concealer. To highlight I used my MAC Skinsheen Bronzer Stick in Gilty Bronze to glow!

Check out what the main items I used:

This could be a easy back to school "nude" look!

Do you own a lot of Golden Bronze shades?

Fall 2012 Caryl Baker Visage Uptown Girl Color Collection

It's about time for me to start breaking out the F word on my blog...Fall is coming!

As much as it hurts to state it, it's true. My summer started out amazing with my trip to Dominican Republic. Now instead of searching for a cute bathing suit I'm starting to think about Fall jackets.

The first Fall collection I will be highlighting is from Caryl Baker Visage.
The theme for Fall 2012 is Uptown Girl.

New Mary Kay® Mineral Eye and Cheek Colors for Summer 2012

Mary Kay is one of my favorite brands for eye shadows. Their range of textures and shades is the number #1 reason why I keep them in my kit. It's always interesting to see the reactions of people who I try them on the first time.
The mineral-based formula is famous for its oil-absorbing properties, ease of application and excellent coverage. Plus, these long-lasting, crease resistant, fade-resistant shades look fabulous on every skin tone.
Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color lets you do just that. It gives you options that look gorgeous no matter what your skin tone. Customize the fade-resistant colour with a light sweep for a natural blush and then build it as you like.

This Summer, Mary Kay has come out with seven Mineral Eye and Cheek Colors. The earth is the inspiration for each of the colors. Think waterfalls, flowers, dirt & the rain forest. (six shades are shown)

Here are close-ups of each of the colors:

Hands down Gold Coast is my favorite color out of the bunch!
I love the range from matte to shimmery textures.

High Buns for Spring/Summer - Hot or Not?

High buns were in last Spring/Summer but I feel like they will make a come back this Spring/Summer. High buns are appropriate for every occasion! It all depends upon how the bun is situated on your head. Here are some great examples of cute high buns:
Vanessa: High Messy Bun
Kim: Sleek Bun

Beyonce: High Floppy Bun
Jessica: High Messy Bun
If I ever do a high bun I would incorporate the head band look into it:
