Jet Set into Fall with Revlon- London

Revlon Canada gave a few bloggers the opportunity to participate in a challenge which allowed us to receive products based on a fashionable city. We had no idea what city we were getting ahead of time. I was so happy that I got London, England!

When I was younger, I spent a few summers in England with my Granddad and Grandmother. From early age, I've had the opportunity to experience London's Fashion forward culture and loved it.
I still have some of the items in my closet, years later.

Revlon's London look is an intense smoky eye with a natural lip!

Makeup Products:
  • Revlon Colorstay ShadowLinks- Onyx & Gunmetal ($3.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Blackout ($10.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black ($10.49 CAN)
  • Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh ($13.59 CAN)

-Glide charcoal along inner corner of the eye to outer crease creating an angled line. Use Onyx to extend the line slightly outside the outer edge and blend colors together.
-Create definition by using liner on upper lash line and outer edges of lower lash line. Apply Onyx along the liquid line to add sparkle. Finish with mascara.
-Keep lips neutral with London Posh.

Revlon Colorstay Skinny Liquid Liner in Blackout
Create whatever line you want skinny or thick!

Revlon Colorstay ShadowLinks- Onyx & Gunmetal
This is actually the first time that I 've used the eyeshadows.
I was pretty excited to see how pigmented they were!
Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara in Blackest Black
This is a holy grail product! It's the darkest mascara that I've seen on the market.

Final look with Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh applied.
I reviewed them here: Moisture Stain

Nails:
Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy™ Longwear Nail Enamel- All or Nothing & High Stakes

Zoe Saldana on FASHION Magazine's August 2014 Cover- Hot or Not?

I've honestly enjoyed a few of the latest movies that Zoe Saldana has started in- Star Trek, Avatar and Colombiana were really good. I'll admit she's not one of the actresses I'd look to for fashion inspiration but I loved the way she was styled on the latest cover of Fashion Magazine.

Inside the mag she talks about various things such as her marriage (I actually didn't know she was married) and how she prepared for her role in Nina. Yes.. If you don't know she's playing Nina Simone in a new biopic. I seen a lot of criticism on twitter about her getting the role due to her skin colour.. etc. Fashion Magazine asked her about it and his was her response:

On skin-deep criticisms regarding her casting in the biopic, Nina-
“I handled the role with the same love, the same respect and the same pride that any other black person would, because I am a black woman, a proud Latino black woman, and nobody’s going to take that right from me.”

Hmmm..I really think people should give her a chance.

Overall I see the the cover as HOT!

Currently Obsessed: Hard Candy Highlight & Contoured Cheek Duo in Sunkissed

It's been a while since I've done a currently obsessed post. I've been obsessed with so many products lately that it's been really hard to narrow down and share it all with you.
Most of it ends up on my Twitter page.

Right now there is a product from Hard Candy that totally changes my whole beauty regime for when I'm going for that glowy look. It's Hard Candy highlight & contoured cheek duo in Sunkissed ($6.98 CAN).

Contouring has never been easier. Now you can create a multi-dimensional look with just one swipe! Cheeks & Balances provides a dual-toned stick that is designed to deliver the perfect amount of highlighter, and blush/bronzer to sculpt, color and illuminate cheeks.

I recently had the opportunity to go to an exclusive Hard Candy event and try out the new products from the line. I came across this duo and swatched it.. love at first sight! Once applied, it's best to take your fingers blend it in. I love the glow it gives off. It's not greasy nor is it overwhelming. Perfect!

Packaging it comes in a black case with clear top and the product can be distributed by twist at the bottom. It's pretty similar to how your deodorant packaging works.

Swatch
At this point in time on the website this is the only colour that I see offered. In the future, I hope they offer more options with the gold highlighter and various blush colours because I'd buy them all!

Blush for Dark/Deep skin tones?

I have noticed, getting some ladies who are dark/deep skin tones to wear blush is difficult. I will admit it, a lot of us have had a bad experience with blush (or know/seen someone who didn't do it right). What a lot of people don't know is that blush can be the missing piece to putting a look together.

Dark/Deeper skin toned girls, whenever your lost picking a blush just go for oranges and fuchsias.

For Spring/Summer, opt for a powder blushes.
For Winter/Fall, opt for cream/gel blushes. I used E.l.f. Studio HD Blush in Encore and I'm very happy with the pay off. I bought this one at IMATS.

Do you have a favourite blush at the moment?
