Personally I would spend up to $12.00 with tax. Not too high/too low.Why?
Nail polishes are lovely but just like eyeshadow the can easily be duped!
One of my favorite brands is Sally Hansen Xtreme nails which can cost as low as $2.00 - $3.50 a bottle!How much would you spend?
for me personally-- I would pay up to 12 dollars for a unique color. Not easily duped. but I agree with you I love the sally hansen brands
ReplyDeletePersonally I would pay no more than about $15 with tax for an extremely unique color or a limited edition color that can not be easily duped...personally I am about to test out some gelous nail colors because I love how long they can last and the variation you can get with them. But like you said polishes are like shadows and easily duped and its fun to take cheap colors, mix them and make your own color creations!
ReplyDeleteI spent $13 on some MAC nail polish, which is the most so far. I am so close to buying Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe, which is $18 per bottle. I don't know if I will ever break my $13 threshold.
ReplyDeleteI think OPI polishes are $8.50-ish, those are my fav to buy. So I`d say no more than $10. But if it`s a color I CAN`T resist or haven`t seen before...i may splurge.

I've got a cosmo license && work at Macy's.
So I get a pretty sweet discount on my Nail Polishes.
But I think my limit would be no more then $13.00.
Unless it's a limited edition set.
I got a really close dupe to MAC Quite Cute Mischevious.
With Revlon's Minted.
The only difference is that Minted is a touch more Green.
Plus it doesn't streak like MAC polishes do.
AND I think the Revlon is all buy one get one half off at Rite Aid with your Wellness Card.

ReplyDeleteI just cant bring myself to spend a ton on nail polish. I too love the Sally's xtreme wear. I find it actually stays on my nails longer and doesn't chip as fast.
I'm a $7-8 kind of gal, there's probably no way I'm dishing out more, especially when I'm sure that somewhere I can find what I want for cheaper. By the brand, or a dupe that satisfies my lust for it, I know that it's probably out there and won't hurt my wallet as much! Lol

ReplyDeleteWell I pay $10 on a regular basis if I get OPI at trade secrets and those types of places. I don't like paying that much though. I would buy a Chanel, those are like $25 I think, but I've never found a colour that wow'ed me enough to.
ReplyDeleteThe most ive ever spent on a nail polish is a illamasqua one which was £13.50 which is $22.50 which seems like quite a lot! I loved the colour but the nail polish itself disappointed! The sally hansen xtreme nails sound amazing, not sure if i can get them in the UK!
