Sunscreen tips + Coppertone picks

I'm in the last minute stages of planning my vacation. The week is set but I still don't know where I want to go! I'm just ready to pack and get out of North America. Caribbean beach life will be mine... (even if it's just for 7 days.) One thing I know that I will have in abundance well be sunscreen.

I got some great tips from Coppertone which will help you on your beach vacay!

When is the best time to apply sunscreen?
• Apply 15 to 30 minutes before exposure
• Use at least 30 ml of sunscreen to protect an average-size body
• Cover all exposed areas. Don’t forget ears, nose, the top of feet and the back of knees!

Do I have to reapply after going for a swim?
Reapply sunscreen at least every two hours, especially after swimming, vigorous activity, sweating or using a towel.

What is the shelf-life of sunscreen?
An expiry date will be indicated on the back of Coppertone products. Consumers should check the date before using a sun care product.

Here are my top three Coppertone picks

  1. Great post!

I always apply sunscreen on my face, but I'm not so consistent with putting it on my body.

  2. I really liked this post. Since I have super sensitive skin, I'm always wary of cream sunscreens. They make my skin burn (sensation wise). Lately, I've really come to enjoy spray sunscreens. I find that spray sunscreens are definitely one of those products that you should go brand name for. All CVS, Walgreens, Walmart versions never quite dry, leaving them sticky all day. I'm excited that you had a good experience with Coppertone, and I'm very intrigued by the mousse version.

    Great review!

  3. I really enjoyed this review. Having very sensitive skin, I'm very picky about my sunscreens. Some of them can make my skin burn (sensation wise). I've become fast friends with spray versions, although I find that it's always better to buy brand name spray sunscreens. Drugstore versions (like CVS brand, Walgreens brand, etc)never quite dry, leaving them sticky all day long. I'll try Coppertone next time I need sun protection, and I'm super intrigued by the mouse version. Great review!

  4. Sorry I posted two similar comments. Didn't see that they were on approval and thought it didn't post correctly the first time. Feel free to delete one or the other... and this one. :) I'm not trying to spam you, I swear!
