The Best Lip Care Routine For Dry and Cracked Lips

I’m just gonna put out a few self-care posts to occupy myself (and help others) while in Quarantine. Right now, you’re probably doing one of two things... Actually three.
  1. You are either taking AMAZING care of yourself so that when the ban is lifted-
you look fresh and ready to go.
  2. Or you look OKAY to go outside-
but you would love to book a beauty treatment when available.
  3. Or you look like a literal cave person-
you're literally ready to camp out at your salon, spa or lash tech house to be the first in line.
One of the first things I noticed that started to go haywire was my lips. Inside my house is SUPER dry and it's literally taking a toll on my lips. At first I ignored it but when my husband started to comment... LOL. I knew I had to do something other than blame the Canadian weather!

So to get my kissable, I do a combination of three things.

I use the e.l.f. Cosmetics Lip Exfoliator ($4.00 CAN) to get rid of all the dead skin.

This right here is definitely something I would re-purchase. I first wet my lips with water and wait 5 minutes. Then gently rub the exfoliator over my lips in circular motions.
When I'm done, I wipe off the product with tissue. Super easy!

Then follow up with Catrice's Lip Oil treatment ($9.99 CAN).

This is as simple as it sounds. It's a lip oil made with sweet almond oil.
After exfoliating my lips I use this to moisturize my lips.

This two punch combo can be done at night or morning.

And we all know- if EVERYTHING fails then the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask($26.00 CAN) is always on deck!

Bonus
If it's daytime try using a lip balm for something less "heavy". I tried out the Blistex’s Superfruit Soother Lip Balm ($4.99 CAN). It's made with Acai berries, Vitamin C and E. Also has SPF 15 which is perfect for the summer months.

FYI- if you missed my previous LANEIGE in Canada posts. This is a lip mask you put on right before bed and you will 100% wake up with moisturized and smooth lips!

This is the perfect combo to use for kissable lips!

  3. I love these tips! Especially now that I'm working from home, I feel like I put on lip balm a lot less than I used to so my lips have gotten dry. I'll have to try this!

  4. I usually use raw sugar lip scrub from target. May have to try these out, my lips, hands and skin in general get dry during the winter months so everything needs extra TLC lol
