Annabelle Cosmetics Instaglam Kajal Eyeliner + Kajal

As a beauty blogger, I'm always testing something. My purse is full of products. It's extremely hard to down size. I often find myself forgetting something important at home. Annabelle Instaglam Eyeliner + Kajal $12.50 CAN prevents me from having breakdowns.
Everything to line my eyes in one product.

Liquid
Kajal
SWATCHES

They both apply smoothly along your lash line. One thing I love about the kajal is that it's really black. Like midnight black. Overall the convenience of having both products together is a lifesaver!

Key notables:
  • The kajal is waterproof
  • Perfect for sensitive eyes
  • Scent-free
  • The liquid liner lasts up to 12+ hours

This product would be perfect for traveling or to add to your makeup bag for back to school.

Top 3 Favourite Skin Primers Guest post by Alyssa

Whether you have oily, normal, dry or combination skin, a primer is a must!
They can help even out the skin and make your foundation last all day.

Here are my 3 favourite skin primers of all time:
Annabelle Instant Perfecting Base
I was recently sent this primer from Annabelle and I’ve been loving it so far. It reduces redness and makes my skin feel so smooth! Sometimes I will wear this right over my moisturizer for the no-makeup days. It gives your skin a healthy glow and I will definitely be purchasing it in the future. Not to mention, this product has a pump which is not common in most primers, but can be very handy!

Maybelline Baby Skin
This is one of those products where you either grab it or pass on it. On my dry skin it glides on easily, gives a natural finish and doesn’t dry me out!

If you have oily skin, I recommend using a very small amount because your face can tend to get greasy throughout the day if you apply too much. You can find it for around $8 at the drugstore.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
This is my all-time favourite primer. If you really want to invest in a good one, go for this one. One little pea size can do your whole face! I got two sample sized ones weeks ago and I’m still on my first one.

It’s not greasy, and it smooth’s out your pores, fine lines, and blemishes. Your skin will feel as soft as butter! It feels great and it’s totally worth it.

Tell me what your favourite primers are in the comments!
I would love to hear them!

Summer Make up: Annabelle Cosmetics, Make up For Ever & Mark Cosmetics

I love summer makeup. It's so natural and dewy! Plus it doesn't take a lot of effort.

It's all about the BB cream. Why? Because it has good things such as SPF to shield your skin from UV rays. I will be honest there is a fine line between oily and dewy skin. If you find yourself on the oily side carry blotting paper with you. My favourites are from The Body Shop & Hard Candy.

To top of the skin I add a light rosy cheek using a cream blush. On my lips I tried out a new Mark Glossworks lipgloss. I will be reviewing it soon. It kind of applies like a liquid lipstick and it contains SPF15.

I try to use some waterproof products on my eyes. Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes makes a gorgeous gold eyeliner in “Gold 9L” that I used on my inner corners. It’s doesn't budge or smudge! I finished off the look by using Annabelle Cosmetics Expandable Mascara on my lashes.

Makeup Master Classes with Julie Bégin: Power Beauty

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to attend a master class with Makeup Artist Julie Begin. I haven't had the time recently to do "faces" as much because I work full-time (all the time) but I love hearing tips and tricks from others. The class was around 12 people and lasted three hours.

Some one the points I took away from the class were:

  • Be original.
  • Look for inspiration in everyday things.
  • Don't be afraid to try something out of the box.
  • Keep a notebook to record your thoughts so you don't forget them.
  • You don't need expensive products to do a look.

My favourite part was looking into her kit. I LOVE looking into other MUA's kits for products to use on myself or others. She even took products out of her kit and let us swatch it and try it out. Some of her favourites are MAC, Annabelle, L'oreal and MUFE.

Plus there was a model there which she used to demonstrated two looks on. We also had the opportunity to ask questions any time throughout the whole class. The classes are $300 USD (which may be a lot for some) but being an MUA is a "pricey" profession so the price doesn't surprise me. Especially from someone who has clients such as Balenciaga, John Galliano and Mark Jacobs.
