Yes I'm talking about lipsticks! A nude that complements your skin tone is a great finishing touch for your makeup. A smokey eye/nude lip combination is one of the most sexiest makeup looks to me. Kim Kardashian must agree with me because it's her signature look!

Nude lips can be worn in the daytime as well with more simple looks but it can be tricky selecting a shade. The wrong shade will have you looking like a corpse in a matter of seconds. Here are a few of my favorite nude lip recipes, WOC approved of course.

1. Loreal Colour Riche Lip Color "Fairest Nude" + Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss "Peach Petal"
2. NYX Round Lipstick "Tea" + Milani lip gloss "Secret"
3. NYX Xtreme Lip Creme "Nude Peach Fuzz" + NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss "Smokey Look"

I prefer having a satin or glossy finish, I find matte a little hard to pull off. Nudes look best with a creamy texture.

Don't be afraid to "go nude"!

Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Glosses + Swatches

This Fall, Maybelline launched their Color Sensational High Shine Glosses. There are twelve pigmented shades to fall in love with. I was sent three colors to try out from the line. How gorgeous are these shades! 

Appropriate from the porcelain white to dark ebony. 

They are very buildable! I prefer to swipe them 3 to 4 times to get maximum color payoff. 

From what I can see the line is a mix of creams and shimmers. 

Raspberry Reflection and Captivating Coral are gorgeous creams. Mocha- Amazing is a light shimmer. These are great fall glosses because are very moisturizing. They apply smoothly and are not sticky.

Revlon ColorBurst™+ ColorStay Lipsticks Haul+Swatches

On my latest excusions to the USA, my bf and I went to a Big Lots near the border. Perfect place to stock up on snacks for the long ride and check out discounted makeup :P

While searching through the makeup section I found a whole bunch of Revlon ColorBurst™+ ColorStay Lipsticks with NO price on them. Luckily for me there was just men working in the store *happy dance*. Due to sheer laziness and lack of knowlegde they gave me all six lipsticks for $1.00 each!!!

That's a steal because there about $8.00 to $14.00 each in Canada. 

I only picked up one initially but when I seen the price.. I went back and picked up five more!

I only swatched four and I plan to gift the rest :D

My Favorite Pinky Nude Lipstick (WOC Friendly) + Lip Swatches- Clinque/Joe Fresh/ Revlon

I often get asked what colors are complementary for WOC. My answer is always "You need to try out brands to get the right fit for you". 

I know that trying out brands are costly but in this post I gave Low-Medium-High options for the perfect Picky Nude Lip.

Joe Fresh Matte Lipstick in Brick would be Low/Medium-end costing around $6.00 CDN.

Color:  Soft reddish brown nude

Finish: Matte but moisturizing

Revlon Lipstick would be would be Low/Medium-end costing around $2.00 to $8.00 CDN.

Color: Pinky taupe nude

Finish: Sheer to moderate and moisturizing

I think my love first started when I saw Kim K rocking it with a gorgeous smokey eye..I made it my mission to find some nude colors that us WOC could wear too :)
