Hard Candy Prize Haul

A few weeks ago I won some Hard Candy from a fellow Canadian Blogger Jill. This is my first time ever trying out Hard Candy, so I was excited to see what type of  products they had to offer.

I got the Kaleyedescope Baked Eyeshadow Duo in Secret Rendezvous. I would describe it as light pink & rust. The colors go on shimmery as you can tell by my swatches below. These shadows can also be used wet to pack on more color.
I got a lengthening mascara in Punk & Baked Blush in Living Doll. The Mascara is something that I would use on a creative photoshoot. But I like the fact that Hard Candy is not shy with their mascara colors: Blue, Pink ..etc.
The last item I got was the Walk the Line Liquid Liner in Fushia. Lovee the color but I had an issue with the brush size. I just wish it was abit skinner.

Ladies check out these products at Walmart. I went there a few days ago & the price point is definitely affordable :D

My new love: Revlon Matte Lipstick in Wine

A few weeks ago I was invited to LG Fashion Week by another beauty blogger named Davida. By total coincidence I was downtown filming in the same location as LGFW, so I didn't have time to go home. Also I left all my makeup at home so I had to run a store...ASAP.

After swatching over 20 lipsticks in Shopper's Drug Mart.. Relvon Wine stood out above the rest!

They're moisturizing and not drying like other matte lipsticks. Also it doesn't settle in the lines of my lips..which is a horrible sight to see..lol.

Here is a hand swatch:

Question:
Do you own any of Revlon Matte Lipsticks?

Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki F-80 Review + Guide

I have been on a hunt for a flat top brush that can be used with liquid. Hello Sigma's Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki F-80!

This exclusive flat top synthetic kabuki was designed to deliver a flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation. The long handle adds comfort to your makeup application. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned.
Pros:
  • Multi-purpose (can be used with creams, liquids & powders)
  • Long handle (good for handling)
  • Short dense bristles ( This gives an airbrushed look)
  • Soft bristles ( Doesn't hurt when you buff your foundation)
  • Price (Only $16.00!!)
I don't have any cons for this brush! It is rare to find a brush that gives you a quick airbrushed look.

This is how I use the brush:
First apply a small amount of foundation on the top of your hand or a metal plate.
You don't need a lot with this brush. Dab the brush, so it has a good amount of product.
Secondly dab the product to your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin.
Then buff it in for a airbrushed look.

At the end you should have a flawless face which looks like you don't have ANY foundation at all.

Loveee it! This brush gets 5 stars from me, I would definitely recommend it for anyone from a newbie to a MUA.

Check out some of the other Sigma brushes.
