New Tangle Teezer brushes that you need

I recently had the opportunity to recently attend an intimate gathering for Tangle Teezer made by Shaun Pulfre. He introduced me to three new products:

  • The Thick & Curly detangling hairbrush
  • The Compact Styler
  • Blow Styling tool brush

Real Technique Brushes are now sold in Canada!

I remember my first encounter with these brushes. It was at an Ulta in Buffalo, New York.
My first time ever in Ulta and the real technique brushes were on sale.
One base/flawless set was left and I told my friend that she could have it.

Flash forward to now..
Real Technique brushes are now sold in Canada!

I know it took a while but I love that fact that I can drive to walmart and pick up products
that I know bloggers in USA and UK rave about.

*More and more walmart locations are getting the brushsets and individual brushes- so don't fret if you can't get the set that you want at the moment. Another option for getting items you want is shopping online at farleyco.ca.

I was sent the Real Techniques Your Base Core Collection.
You can never go wrong with a great set of face brushes!
Comes with:
-Detailer brush
Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or, use with lipstick for long-lasting shape and definition.

-Pointed foundation brush
Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage.

-Buffing brush
Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.

-Contour brush:
Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer, soft-focus finish

Why you should get it:

  • The brushes are soft but firm enough to get the job done.
  • Synthetic taklon bristles are great for anyone with sensitive skin. - Plus they are good with wet & dry products.
  • The case transforms into a stand- Perfect for someone like me who is always misplacing brushes.
  • The brushes have the "usage" names on them. e.g "Contour Brush" - Always good for someone who is new to makeup.
  • Last but not least they are 100% cruelty-free.

Kim Professional Makeup Brushes Review

A few months ago I was contacted by a rep from a brand called Kim Professional Makeup Brushes. I never heard of the brand and I had no idea what to expect. I was given three brushes to try.
  • F251 for face
  • L311 for lips
  • E131 for brows
L251 A large round brush designed specifically for application of wet make-up. The white synthetic and soft hair combination allows for maximum color and liquid retention.

I really wanted to love this but it just wouldn't stop shedding. Look at the pictures above for reference.
USES:  Liquid foundation and powder blush (which is still left on the brush..sorry).
........................
L311 A flat, tipped brush, for precise lining of the lip contour and for perfect application of lip cream and gloss.
A few weeks ago this baby came in handy at one of my gigs.
I swear it looked better before.
I think I killed it by doing like 30 lips. I used beautysoclean after EVERY use.
Either way its still soft.
........................

E131 A flat angular brush, perfect for precise lines and detailed work. Emphasizing lining and shaping of the eyes and the eyebrows.
It`s an angled brush that does the trick.
Okay, well I have two complaints: I wish it was a tiny bit stiffer and again the handle is a bit long for me.

Pros:
Soft brushes

Cons:
Long handles
Frosty handles don`t work with the natural oils in your hands

Sigma Travel Kit Naughty Review

As a Sigma Affiliate, I was happy to try out the Sigma Travel Kit Naughty in Black. I tried the F80 a few months ago and loved it, so I believe in the Sigma brand.

This brush set comes with seven important brushes. Each brush has a specialty which allows you to achieve your flawless look.

Here is each brush in HD after being washed:
Very dense with a rounded top. Ideal to apply powder products on face and body. Natural bristles.

Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.

Can be used to apply liquid or cream foundation. It is also recommended to apply moisturizers and conceal large areas. Synthetic bristles.

The rounded, tampered, flat shape makes this brush ideal to conceal the under eye area. It is also recommended for a precise application in small areas. Synthetic bristles.

Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid. Natural bristles.

Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.

Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner. Natural bristles.

BONUS:

"Airbrushed" finish when used to apply liquid foundation. It can also be used to apply blush, highlight shades and loose pigments. Blend of synthetic and natural bristles.

Overall:
I couldn't find anything wrong with this brush set.
Great carrying case, quality brushes and the bonus brush is pretty good too!

I can`t stress how amazing it is to have a Tapered Blending Brush in a brush set.

Which brush is your favorite?
