Now that it’s 2020, we’re seeing people on the hunt to crushing their goals and self-reflecting on the rest of the year ahead. I’m definitely a part of those people who want to make 2020 a truly transformative year, in terms of my personal development, growth, and just overall success! To jumpstart that process, I have been looking into essential oils, particularly ones that aid in boosting your overall mood. I’ve heard a lot about their calming and aromatherapy benefits and wish I had jumped on the bandwagon sooner, because they would have definitely helped me. I noticed throughout much of 2019, I had periods of time when my mood was heavily depleted and it definitely affected the goals and plans I had in place for the year.
Now that we’re in 2020, I’m looking forward to trying new ways of managing my mood and stress levels, to ensure that I’m on track to doing the damn thang this year! Who’s with me?!
With that being said, here are three essential oils that can aid in boosting your mood in 2020:
Lavender Essential OilThis oil is perfect for those who are looking for an oil that has calming properties and helps to promote overall balance and well being. It has also been said to contain sedative properties, which would work best when applied before bedtime. If you are someone who struggles with insomnia, definitely look into purchasing lavender oil.Lemon Essential OilIf you’re looking for an oil that will enlighten and warm up your mood, definitely give lemon oil a try! I mean, the smell alone is enough to make you want to use it all the time! It’s also great for bringing warmth, enhancing your mood, and promoting energy. If you are someone who struggles throughout the day to stay alert and focused, opt for lemon essential oil in your day to day regime.
Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint reminds me of a candy cane! Sweet and super refreshing! Peppermint essential oil aids in revitalizing your whole aura, from your mind, body, and inner soul. It also helps to improve your overall attitude, strengthen your alertness and restore concentration. If you are looking for an oil that will help to restore you from the inside and out, definitely add peppermint essential oil to your list of things to buy on your next grocery run.
Which essential oil is my favourite?
I love peppermint oil, it just smells so fresh. I use lavender to help get my babies to sleep. A few drops in their baths helps as well.
