Nail of the Day: OPI Extravaganza

Isn't this glitter fab!!
OPI Extravaganza is a bold, orange glitter polish with added silver sparkle which was a part of the OPI Burlesque collection back in Winter 2010.

eBeauty.ca sells Butter London nail polishes!!

For the past few years, I've seen swatches of Butter London nail polishes on UK blogs. Not only do they have an amazing color range but their natural nail care philosophy is truly amazing. They promise that their polishes are 3 Free:
No Formaldehyde
No toluene
No DBP (Phthales)

 Guess what!
Now Canadian Girls like myself have access to Butter London through eBeauty.ca
I'm wearing JAFFA which is inspired by Jaffa Oranges.
This is definitely the it color for this summer!

Do you need some more convincing?

Remember eBeauty.ca has FREE shipping on orders over $25.00.

So ladies would you wear this color?

How to Remove Shellac, Glitter and Artistic Colour Gloss Nail Polish tutorial

I love wearing nail polish... but I hate the removal. For years, I avoided polishes with serious glitter or anything with gel. Gel required extra time at the salon for removal. One salon quoted me "$15.00 for soak off removal".

Are you serious?!?
That's the cost of 5 Sally Hansen nail polishes..haha.

NOTD: Im Green with Envy for that Party of Five

I have no idea how to name a nail of the day post.
Hopefully Ill get better as I post more :D

Isn't this combo gorgeous!!
Remember my recent nail polish Haul?
I used Sally Hansen's Green with Envy with Wet n Wild Party of Five glitters!

I started with two coats of Green with Envy, then two coats of WnW Part of Five glitters over it. FYI* I didn't use a top coat.

So far my mani has lasted almost 2 weeks
I have nooo idea why but anything that's Sally Hansen or WnW never comes off...which is a huge plus.

The two colors I used:

Thanks for reading :D

Nail Polish Haul: Wet n Wild & Sally Hansen

I decided to give in and buy some more Spring/Summer colors! All these bottles were from $2.99 from Zellers. For my Americans, Zellers is like a watered down Target..haha.

I know that these bottles usually retail for $1.99 in USA.

Lets me show you each bottle.. these pictures came out true to color :)
Just in case you fall in love here are the names:
Sally Hansen Blue Me Away
Sally Hansen Green with Envy
Wet n Wild Garden Hose
Wet n Wild Sunburst
Swatches:
L to R- Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, Sally Hansen Green with Envy, Wet n Wild Garden Hose & Wet n Wild Sunburst.

Gorgeous colors!

My Nail Polish Story- What's yours?

Let me explain to you all how my nail polish addiction started. I think it's playback for having naked nails for years! I remember my friends telling me "JENN!!! You should wear nail polish" or  "OMG! You're nails are so nice but you NEED to do something with them". I had the time but it just wasn't my thing. I know there is someone out there who feels my pain.

A couple months ago my bf took me to an amazing mani/pedi place and everything changed from then. After getting compliments on my nails, I started to do them on a regular. I also started to follow more nail blogs for color inspiration.

Here are a few of my favs:
BarryM Grey + E.L.F Black
E.L.F Black + Sally Hansen Strobe Light
BarryM Instant Nail Effects + Fuchsia is Funky Nails in Miss.Robinson+ The blue is  LA Color matte polish in  turquoise

I think I will start to share my nail hauls & favorite designs on my blog from now!

What's your nail story? Do you wear polish everyday?

Help! What is your favorite nail polish top coat?

I'm tired of my nails chipping!! Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Summer/Spring Nail Polish inspiration!

Hey Ladies,

I was asked if I can do a nail inspiration post for Spring/Summer. Currently I'm on a no buy, so I definitely have to use whatever I have in my stash. I really want some pastels but that will have to wait.. or maybe I'll create my own..hmmm *ideas are brewing*.

These are my four picks:
  1.  Barry M  Bright Pink (279)
  2. L.A Colors Matte
  3. Funky Fingers Pucci-licious
  4. Funky Fingers Mrs. Robinson

 Which one is your favorite?

How much would you spend on nail polish?

Personally I would spend up to $12.00 with tax. Not too high/too low.

Why?

Nail polishes are lovely but just like eyeshadow the can easily be duped!

One of my favorite brands is Sally Hansen Xtreme nails which can cost as low as $2.00 - $3.50 a bottle!

How much would you spend?

Nail of the day: BarryM Nail Paint in Indigo

A few weeks ago I purchased BarryM Nail Paint in Indigo from a blog sale! I couldn't wait to try it out, so I applied two coats.
I love how this color looks on my skin tone! I think this would look good with a white crackle polish on top :)

Lately I have been doing my nails every week in different colors and designs inspired by my favorite nail bloggers. I will keep posting them as their done.

Nail of the day: BarryM Nail Effects take 2

I had to upgrade my BarryM mani. I decided to go with a play on spring which is taking forever to show it's self! I used two random bright polishes in my dash. The fuchsia is Funky Nails in Miss.Robinson.  The blue is the LA Color matte polish in matte turquoise.. I'm not feeling it.. chips way too fast!
I'm sorry I didn't clean the edges
I added CND supershiny as a top coat. I like it shiny!

Do you like the two tone mani?

Nail Of the day: BarryM Instant Nail Effects

I remember when this product first came out UK bloggers were going crazy! It sold out in stores immediately. As a Canadian blogger I was super jealous that I couldnt get a hold of it here. Now I finally got a bottle and I'm in love!!!!

I layered it over a robin egg blue nail polish. This picture was taken after 5 days of wear!!!

You have to have a certain confidence when wearing this polish because people will stare LOL!
This polish dries to a matte finish but I decided to put two coats of a clear polish to seal it in. I can't believe how long it lasted.

BarryM Nail Paints in Red Glitter & Bright Pink Swatches

As you all know I love nail polishes! It doesn't matter whether its a matte, cream or glitter.. I must to have them all. I have to show you all the two I recently received from Barry M!

 Bright Pink (279)  & Red Glitter (150)
Choose from over 50 different shades, Covering the whole colour spectrum-from pure white to decadent red. There are metallic pearls, mattes and shimmering finishes to suit every mood and taste. All Nail Paints are in a quick-drying base suitable for natural or acrylic nails.
Bright Pink has a cream finish. In my opinion it looks more of a bubblegum pink than a bright pink. I only needed two coats to get even coverage, which is good because it dried quickly.

Red Glitter is made up of fine glitters. This glitter can be worn alone or with a solid polish underneath.
Love it!

Flash vs. No Flash

I definitely need more of these!

New Years: Glitter Nails for only $5.00!

I have become such a nail junkie lately.. I think it`s because I follow several nail blogs. They`re sooo inspirational because they always give me ideas on what to do with high & low end polishes. Also some of them give out dupe information. I love the fact that I can get a Chanel dupe at H&M for a fraction of the cost.. makes me happy!

While shopping at Walmart.. which is a lovely place to get your polish fix :) I came across this gorgeous Sally Hanson Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color. In these pictures I layered the glitter over H&M Grey Sky.

This color is called Strobe Light
Strobe light is the best name for this polish because the glitter gives off different colors when the light hits it. I had to take a fuzzy picture (no macro) for you to see how gorgeous it is! Definitely worth the $2.49 price tag.

I got several comments on these nails, so if you try this combo beware because it is a conversation starter....haha.

So there you have it my New Years 2011 nails. Including the H&M polish, they both cost me only $5.00... Also it saves me a trip to the nail salon :)

I will be sharing my New Years dress, hair style, make up, drinks(yum) & festivities with you all this year! So stay tuned :D

Would you wear this nail combo?
