Dermablend Professional is now in Canada!

As a makeup artist, one product which I would see in a lot of kits was Dermablend. I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive launch of Dermablend in Canada! Starting on October 8th, they are now sold exclusively in drugstores.

If you don't know anything about them please know that they're the #1 Dermatologist recommended camouflage brand in the US. Also known for their high pigment content and blendability.

They have been around for over 35 years changing lives by addressing all skin concerns:
  • redness
  • dark circles
  • uneven complexion
  • vitiligo
  • rosacea
  • tattoos
  • scars
  • acne

Even if you don't have any of these issues. This is for anyone who desires full coverage. Brides who have a problem with their makeup running would really benefit from using this product. The line features a good range of powders, foundations and concealers. FYI I'm in one of darkest shades in the line- Cinnamon.  Not sure if this is for you? Think about it this way.. It's dermatologist tested, allergy tested, sensitive skin tested, non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic and fragrance-free.
In other words.. you need to get your hands on this ASAP!

Clarins Has Perfected Skincare for the Under-35 Set

Last month, Jenn and I headed to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto to see the new launches Clarins was debuting for Spring 2016. It was quite a fete – there was a dessert bar, complete with a cotton candy machine, macaron lollipops and some bubbly! The venue was perfect – the hotel is actually home to the only Clarins spa in the country!

The products also did not disappoint. When the Clarins team walked through the product benefits and allowed us to smell the product and get a feel for their texture, I immediately fell in love and began testing them out that evening!

Dinner with OPI's Suzi Weiss-Fischmann

I recently had the opportunity to do something amazing.
I had dinner with Suzi Weiss-Fischmann!

Suzi Weiss-Fischmann is OPI's Executive Vice President and Artistic Director. For two hours, a table full of Canadian Beauty bloggers and I talked about the wonderful world of nail polish. It was amazing!

My Murale/Sally Hershberger TIFF Suite experience

Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to get my makeup and lashes done at the Murale/Sally Hershberger TIFF Suite. After a very busy two weeks this was exactly what I needed.
It was definitely one of my favorite makeup experiences.

I had an amazing makeup artist named Shannon. I'd recommend her because she was able to do my skin with no problems.

It was great to see what other make up artist use on their clients. I fell in love with the stila foundations that she used on me. I didn't even know that Stila had shades that complimented my skintone! I definitely have to explore that brand more. I also need to explore YSL. The highlighers and bronzers are gorgeous.

To finish off my look I was given Duo Lashes. I decided to get DUO professional eyelashes D14 (SHORT AND SPIKED). Great lash for a first time wearers like me. At first it was hard to get use to lashes on my lashes. Thankfully, within minutes I forgot that they were on!

One of the best tips I got for lash application is to add some glue to your lash line before applying. I had NO budge throughout the day!

Last but not least I was given the opportunity to pick an item from the EXPRESS table. I'm so happy that EXPRESS is now in Canada. I remember traveling to NY and shopping there with my boyfriend. We would always come out with great pieces.

I chose a jewelled chain to compliment my outfit. A very unique piece to add to my collection. Love it!

Overall I had a great time! I was treated like a queen. Thank you Murale!

Final look:

When was the last time you had your makeup done?

Biore Girls Night In!

A few weeks ago, Biore gave me the opportunity to host a Girl's Night In at my house. This was the first event that i've hosted at my house in 20 years! I was nervous but it ended up going really well.
The night consisted of cupcakes, facials, manicures and fun. The lovely ladies of Spa Party worked their magic on us while we watched the latest episode of Fashion Star!
Aren't these cupcakes gorgeous!
My number one weakness..next to make up and clothes of course.
I've been using Biore for years. I love the new packing revamp because its modern and simple.
Also the color coding system depending on skin types is straight forward.

Deep Cleansing (blue), Complexion Clearing (orange), and Make-up Removing (pink).

One of  my new favorites is the Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser.
Every lady had the opporunity to use it and raved how soft it make their skin feel after.

Speaking of facials.. I documented the process Jennifer from Spa Party did on the lovely Rina.
Her skin is flawless!

She used the Make-up Removing towelettes to get off any dirt, oil or make-up off her face.
The Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser was rubbed on in a circular motion all over her face.
Avoiding her eye and lip areas.
The Complexion Clearing Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser was
put on her face in the same method as the balancing cleanser.
She then laid a warm cloth on her face and gently wiped off the cleanser.
Lastly, she finished with a toner & moisturizer.

If you haven't tried the new Biore products, I suggest that you visit your local drugstore soon. I know the range is tailored for "20 somethings" but it can be used on any skin type.

Each lucky lady walked away with their own goody bag and a cupcake.
Thank you Biore for showing us a good time!
