World Mastercard Toronto Fashion Week: Backstage Maybelline Beauty Pavoni

If you're into bold looks this day would defiantly be for you!
The Pavoni makeup look was all about the eyes!

Theme:
"Glam girls gone a bit Goth"

 To get the look:
Red lipstick on the eye up the way up pass the crease to the brows.
Black liner under the eye & on the lid.
Finish off with a nude glossy lip.

I love that picture!
The Redken team did a great job with the Pavoni hair.
The look was a left part with a corn roll along the front hair line.
Lastly, the hair was twisted back.

This hairstyle can easily be taken off the runway into everyday life.

Backstage Maybelline Beauty Holt Renfrew- World Mastercard Toronto Fashion Week:

I cannot explain how grateful I am that I attended Toronto Fashion Week backstage courtesy of Maybelline. I've always been a fan of their products and I'm excited that they choose me to be apart of their experience. Hands down one of the best things I've EVER done in my life. I got to meet a lot of amazing people & talk about fashion/beauty.  I took a lot of pictures throughout the day.
Join me as I break down the hair & makeup looks from the past week.

Day One:
Holt Renfrew
Look#2
This look was ALL about the Strong Brow & Nude Lips.
Baby Lips in Peppermint & Peach Kiss were very popular backstage.

Maybelline Canada’s head makeup artist, Grace Lee used the Unstoppable eyeliner in Espresso to create an over extended brow.

Grace Lee explained:
"Glossy black lids add to the edginess and a neutral lip supports her carefree sensibility".

Look #2
 To get the look:
Eye studio master drama eyeliner in midnight was used on the lids.
Then smudged with clear gloss to get the rock star effect!

Loved the looks!
Stay tuned for my next post.

Life is so much harder when you have sensitive skin.

Sleek & Classic — Sweet Mint

Avon launches the Clinical Resurfacing Expert Smoothing Fluid

Avon & I go way back. Back to me being thirteen years old selling AVON to my teachers. Now that I think about it I laugh. I had my business woman hat on from an early age. Last month, they launched the Clinical Resurfacing Expert Smoothing Fluid.

AXE launches a NEW female fragrance

I like scent of AXE. It doesn't make me create havoc like the females in the commercial but I appreciate a great smelling man. I wonder if men will think the same now that AXE has launched their first scent for ladies.

Anarchy For Her is a feminine mix of sparkling fruity notes [apple, blackberry] with soft florals at the heart and a light finish of sandalwood, amber and vanilla. Delicate and fun, Anarchy For Her is designed to be used throughout the day.

Red Cherry Lashes

I'm in love with this picture..
I wish these were my real lashes!

China Glaze Magnetix Collection

I recently got the opportunity to try out two polishes from China Glaze Magnetix collection on the Nailpolishcanada.com website.

These polishes are made with magnetic particles that form designs when a magnetic is placed over it.

China Glaze Magnetix comes in six different shades with one all-in-one magnet.

The magnet has three patterns: Star, Chevron & Diagonal Lines. Out of the three patterns the star was my favorite!
For best results first apply a base coat to clean, bare nails. Then apply a coat of colored polish and immediately hold the design magnet over the polish for 10-15 seconds.
The experience:
I found this kinda difficult at first. I was adding to much polish and the design wouldn't "come" through. After a while when I only added one coat, I was more successful. These pictures below are from my first attempts:
As weird as this seems... I love the fact that the polish tried quietly. Also the colors are rich & vibrant.

The con in terms of the magnet is that you have to work fast. As soon as you apply the one coat, apply the magnet ASAP. I had to learn how to master getting the magnet close enough not to ruin the polish.

Overall, I find the idea of magnetic polish pretty cool. I probably would only put them on my accent nails. Perfect way to change up a look with very little efort.

What do you think of magnetic nail polishes?
Have you tried any before?
