tarte Kiss Bliss Tarteist™ Creamy Matte Lip Paint & Crayon Set Swatches

I'm continuing my matte lip obsession into 2017.
Right now, I'm a playing with the tarte Kiss Bliss Tarteist™ Creamy Matte Lip Paint & Crayon Set (SALE $46 CAN).
This 10 piece kit is perfect for someone like me who want to try multiple colours.

In the set you get: 5 tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paints & 5 lip liners. FYI- If you want to get the most out of your matte colours, a lip liner is NEEDED. Every time I quickly decide to skip the liner with the drier shades it ends up being a MESS.

Back to the tarteist colours: I'd say 3.5 out of 5 of the shades work perfectly for me.

Why tarte?
-The shades are vegan-friendly and formulated WITHOUT: parabens & phthalates.
-You get an array of nudes to berries.
-These tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paints come with a coordinating shade -so no need to search your stash for a liner.

Formula?
These are more on the drier side, in my opinion. You will get a bit of transfer when sipping champagne at midnight but nothing like a regular lipstick would give you.

This set contains:
-Deluxe tarteist Lip Crayons in Thirsty, Rage, Vibes, Queen, Meme
-Deluxe tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paints in Bae, Fomo, Fab, Inspo, Chill

How cute are these? One of the colours is way too light for me but I'm really into custom mixing my liquid lipsticks. That's another story but I can use the lighter Creamy Matte Lip Paints for that purpose. Not straight out of the tube.

Thoughts- I wish the liner was constructed better.
You can't push it up to high because it will break as soon as you put it to your lips.

A girl can never have enough makeup bags! This SEPHORA COLLECTION Objects Of My Perfection Bag ($20 USA) is a unique pouch that comes in a black crackle.

I took a picture of it with flash to show you the details.

This bag is cute enough to be used as clutch!
Why not???

This is the fanciest brush that I currently own! The SEPHORA COLLECTION Sparkle & Shine Pro Mini Airbrush #55.5 ($33.00 CAN). This is the smaller verison of the famous PRO #55. Looking for a brush to give you that airbrushed look? This is it!

This brush is synthetic and cruelty-free as well. A major bonus!

I found a new fun scent to obsess over from Atelier Cologne.
Their Nécessaire Citrus Cologne Absolue Set ($32.00 USA) is awesome!

The collection is totally inspired by travel.
In the tin you get four scents:
  • Pomélo Paradis
  • Orange Sanguine
  • Bergamote Soleil
  • Clémentine California
My favourite is Clémentine California. It's a new Atelier Cologne scent for 2017. Plus if you get the tin you get early access to smell it from Sephora.

What does it smell like?
Think Clementines from California- Juicy, sweet & fun!

My Sephora Collection Sparkle & Shine Picks

The holidays are here! This is the perfect time to shop! A little secret between you and I.... prices drop significantly at this time. Stores want to get more people in- buying and driving their daily sales total up. Sephora has some really good deals right now. Whether you go in-store or online- you're bound to find something you love for yourself or for a loved one.

These next post coming up are all going to be my picks from Sephora that you should totally consider this season. You know that almost every season they have a new print in their Sephora collection series. This season it's the Sparkle and Shine theme. For someone like me, this is perfect. It's flashy without being too over-the-top. I also like that they offer multiple items that you can get in one standard print. It's like a glitter houndstooth for grown-ups. Availability online might not be the easiest. But in-store I found quite a few items that I'm sharing here.
Here my top three!

I think that a girl needs to have several brush sets. This one would be perfect for travelling!
Do you have a cousin who is always jet setting? This might be for her!

 in a glitter printed pouch.

Brushes included

-Powder Brush
-Foundation Brush
-Concealer Brush
-Angled Shadow Brush
-Eye Shadow Brush
-Eyeliner Brush
-Brow Brush

Look at the handles!

What makes this brush set antibacterial?
The brush hairs are made of synthetic antibacterial fibers.
Another bonus- it's hypoallergenic and cruelty-free!

Perfect for anyone who has sensitive skin as well.

I love a roomy makeup bag. When I have a larger purse- I like to keep one with all my essentials and usually like 8 liquid lipsticks but who is counting... This is perfect for a traveller as well because it fits nicely in a carry-on!

Sparkle & Shine The Voyager ($25 CDN) is a medium sized makeup bag zips and features that awesome glitter print. I love the way how it opens and the little pocket on the side. I slide my oil blotters in there.

Last but not least PRO brushes. This is perfect for your niece who has discovered youtube or your homegirl whose makeup brushes came from the discount bin at the dollar store...

The Stand Up and Shine Prestige PRO Brush Set ($99.00 USA) is exactly what you're looking for. You get 12 PRO makeup brushes with a pop-up pouch.

Brushes included:
    • Powder brush
    • Angled blush brush

    • Smokey liner brush
    • Lip brush

Mary Kay Satin Lips® Shea Butter Balm & Sugar Scrub

I woke up today and seen something I haven't seen in a while... Snow. For me, cold=chapped lips. I'm a Summer baby- so this is probably one of the worst times for me because my skin gets really dry. I have to do a lot to get comfortable during this season.

I was really excited when the Mary Kay Satin Lips® Shea Butter Balm & Sugar Scrub ($12.00) showed up on my doorstep. At first glance I'm not going lie, I wasn't sure how it would stack up to the original: Satin Lips mask. Which I might add is extremely popular.

We all know the value of Shea butter? Right....Did you know that Shea butter is actually a fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree.

Satin Lips® Shea Butter Balm is created with not only with shea and jojoba butters but also with the flavor of white tea and citrus.

Satin Lips® Shea Sugar Scrub uses real natural sugar crystals to delicately polish your lips. Also found in the Shea butter mixture: sunflower oil and Vitamin E. Gently massage this confection onto lips for one minute and whisk away dryness. Lip texture is immediately improved and lips are left looking revitalized.

    Steps:
    1. Exfoliates with the Shea Sugar Scrub and let the natural sugar crystals do the work.
    2. Use the Shea Butter Balm to finish off with smooth and conditioned lips.

How do you feel about lip scrubs?

Arbonne's Holiday Sheer Glow Highlight stick duo

I'm currently going through a phase where I don't mind spending money on a highlighter.
If it’s pretty, I must have it! I just love glowing! Especially if it's the Holidays!
Doesn’t mater whether, it’s liquid, powder or stick-I'm a fan!

I had the opportunity to try Arbonne's Holiday Sheer Glow Highlight stick duo ($75.00 CAN).If you haven't heard of Arbonne- time to get on the wagon! Let me start off by saying… I do understand that this might be a bit more than some people would be willing to spend on a highlighter duo but check these out.

    What's interesting about it?
One of the really cool things I loved was some of the key ingredient in each duo. Sunflower seed oil, Shea butter and grape seed extract. This gives it that silky to dry combo on your skin.

    What do you get?

My favourite is bronze because it has a very warm undertone.
If I really feel like glowing, I mix both of them for a unique shade.

Where the best places to apply this?
You can put it under your brows, on the top of your cheeks, down your nose or on your chin. It can be applied straight out of the tube or you can take a brush and apply as well or your hands.

Always remember to close your stick after each use- so it doesn't dry out.

    Which one is your favourite?

Caryl Baker Visage Holiday 2016 True North Lipstick- Notre Dame

    The holidays are here!
For the past two weeks, I have seen some Holiday collections come out that I am super excited to play with! Today I'm going to highlight an amazing lipstick from Caryl Baker Visage Holiday 2016.

This holiday they have a collection called True North Beauty. While there were a lot of items to love with in the collection- once I opened this lipstick.... I was so excited to swatch it.

Each lipstick in the collection goes for $14.80 CAN. There are four different shades, my favourite shade is Notre Dame (shown below).

How would I describe Notre Dame? It's extremely bold and deep. Looking at it straight out of the tube, I wasn't sure if it would be black or not. But one swipe of it gave me this gorgeous vibrant berry colour.

The formula is really nice it contains avocado oil and Shea butter- which is honestly evident as you apply to your lips. It's a nice vacation away from the traditional matte lip that I've been obsessed with.

This is definitely going to be one of my holiday favourites.
Where can you find this lipstick?
You can shop on Caryl Baker Visage online or find a location near you.
