2020 Skincare Predictions and Trends

There were so many skincare wins in 2019.
I’m talking about popular skin care products that would take literally weeks to get back in stock in-store or online. Last year, my love of skincare GREW. There is still so much to learn about when it comes to choosing product!

I think we are going to take even a bigger shift towards taking better care of our skin in 2020.

Why?

I feel like with the age of social media and filters you have to maintain the same skin that you shared online in real life. Also consumers are starting to get more conscious. They want to know everything that is in the product/going on their skin. It’s totally fair to ask- especially with the disease and problems that people are plagued with.

Here are some trends according to (nobody but me) which I think will be really popular in 2020.

Currently Obsessed: Olay Deeply Clean Pore Mineral Cleanser

I'm really good with all the steps in my skin care routine. I cleanse- exfoliate- tone and moisturize almost daily. The one step that I need to switch up regularly is my cleanser. Each one has their own unique attributes. A good cleanser can help you purify and brighten your skin. Especially after a hot day!

I was excited to get back to the basics with Olay Deeply Clean Pore Mineral Cleanser ($7.99 US).

Olay 4-In-1 Daily Facial Cloths

I really don't understand people who can go to sleep with their makeup on.
#1- It damages your skin
#2-  There so many easy ways to remove in less than 3 mins.

I'm a wipes girl. I love how easy it is!
Wipe your face, wash off and after that apply your night cream.

The one thing I can say about certain brands is that they are a little bit to dry. Especially now that we are in the whole waterproof/sweatproof resistant make up era. So when these new Olay 4-In-1 Daily Facial Cloths showed up at my door, I knew instantly that I would fall in love.

They are designed to remove dirt, makeup and oil while gently conditioning skin, these cloths cleanse and hydrate skin in one easy step Super easy to use- just wet them, rub together to lather, cleanse and then rinse. For people like me who do not wear foundation, try cutting them in into four squares.
Why waste a full one if you don't need to.
These wipes are very gentle and they smell good.
If you see them in store, I'd recommend that you pick it up!

Skin Care: Eucerin, Simple & Olay

I love Summer skin! It's always golden and evenly toned.
A lot of people don't know that after a day in the sun you need to put back the moisture into your skin.

Hydration is key!

I also exfoliate and tone (time to time) but this post will be
about my current favourite moisturizer and cleansers.

Eucerin DermatoCLEAN Mild Cleansing Lotion($11.76 CAN):
The Mild Cleansing Lotion with its very effective yet extra mild nature-derived cleansing complex removes make-up effectively & protects the skin from drying out.

Why I like it:
  • Removes makeup dirt & oil.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Fragrance-free.

Simple Foaming Cleanser ($7.99 to $10.00 CAN):
Our Foaming Cleanser is a perfect blend of skin-loving ingredients and Pro-Vitamin B5 to remove impurities and remaining traces of makeup. Your skin will feel cleansed, refreshed and moisturized. Perfect even for sensitive skin.

Why I like it:
  • It's foamy.
  • Has vitamins which are good for the skin.
  • Noncomedogenic.

Olay Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture! Satin Finish Lotion ($14.99 US):
Fresh and feather-light, get the rich hydration of a lotion but with the lightweight feel of a gel. Now your skin is soft and smooth for up to 24 hours.

Why I Like it:
  • It's light.
  • Doesn't make me oily.
  • A little goes a long way.

If you see any of these products in store, try them out!
