Mini MAC Venomous Villains Haul+ Swatches

I am NOT one for MAC collections. Never in my life have I have attended a unveiling party or waited online. But this collection had so much buzz I had too... All together with tax everything ALMOST came up to $70.00 but it's worth it! This is what I got.

The first Item I got in store was Bite of an Apple blush. When I first saw this blush I said it could not be on NW45. I don't know if it was a bad swatch I seen on a blog but it was unattractive.
That is so far from the truth.. This blush is gorgeous! I am not a girl who needs obsessive amount of blush but after swatching in store.. I had to have it.

This blush is described Soft coral pink (Matte). It's very buildable and flattering for every skintone.

Wicked Ways is probably the most gorgeous lipglass I own.. and I own quite a few. It's a Deep fuchsia with pink pearl. I wore it today and got A LOT of compliments :)
This is the type of gloss that you can wear alone or on top of lipstick.
This definitely gets the Spiced Beauty stamp of approval. If this is still available I'd advise you to go and get it!
The last item I got from the Venomous Villains was a lipstick in Heartless. This is a Cherry red which is also suitable for multiple skin tones. I could also pair this lipstick with Wicked Ways lipglass.

I'm happy I got this lipstick because I need to venture out of my color safe zones LOL!
The last item I got was the VIVA GLAM Cyndi Lauper lipglass. I've been looking everywhere for a coral gloss but I couldn't find one. Honestly I don't like the lipstick but this look is gorge!
I love everything I got! Did you get anything from the VV collection? Or what do you plan on getting?

Shoppers Can Join Payless and Help Create a Future Without Breast Cancer

This October, Payless will inspire shoppers to show their support for breast cancer awareness with this year’s must-have accessory item – the 2010 Payless Breast Cancer Awareness charm bracelet benefitting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the country’s leading national volunteer-based organization dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer. The nation’s largest specialty footwear retailer is proud to once again offer its Embrace the Cause bracelet in all its stores beginning Oct. 1 for just $3 – an accessible price that enables more people to get involved and has raised more than $3.6 million internationally since 2004 for the cause.

Payless will contribute 100 per cent of the net profits of bracelet sales to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, helping to support breast cancer research and community outreach programs. Over the past seven years, the Payless Embrace the Cause program has raised more than $3.6 million in total for the breast cancer cause.

The limited-edition charm bracelet features three elastic pink bands embellished with several “floating” silver-toned balls, linked together by a dangling breast cancer awareness ribbon charm. To buy the bracelet, consumers can visit all Payless stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico beginning Oct. 1. This is a limited-edition item available while supplies last.

Beginning last week, Payless also began offering the "Sierra" all-pink sweater slipper in select stores in the U.S. and Canada. The Sierra is a scuff-style slipper, co-branded Airwalk and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and features a plush and cozy pink faux fur lining with a cable knit upper also trimmed in faux fur. The slipper is offered in women's and girls' sizing and both retail for $27.99. Payless will contribute $2.80 per pair sold to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

According to 2010 Canadian Cancer Statistics, one in nine Canadian women are expected to develop breast cancer during their lifetime (if they live to age 90). This year, an estimated 23,200 women and 180 men in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and an estimated 5,300 women and 50 men will die of it. For more information on breast cancer in Canada, how to reduce your risk, or to make a donation to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, visit www.cbcf.org.

MAC Lustrewhite Lipglass is perfect for all skin tones!

At the last MAC sale I stumbled upon MAC Lustrewhite Lipglass.
In the bottle it looks intimating but  after swatching I fell in love!

As you can see from my lips its a clear gloss with minimal shimmer.
Gorgeous.

Kim Kardashian inspired neutral eyes

I love neutral looks! Kim K wore this look to the Emmy's and I fell in love.. Yes I'm aware that we are not the same colour or I'm no where as fly as her..but she's my current muse.

Here is the look:

Storage Ideas for my MAC- Part 1

Since I knew I was going to the MAC Warehouse sale on Sunday;

How do you feel about Lash Serums? Plus my short review on L'oreal Lash Boosting Serum

Everyone wants long healthy lashes without the falsies.
Now there is an easier way to do that. Hello...
Lash Serums
They give us the hope of thicker longer lashes with less fall out when we remove make up from our eyes. I've been blessed with healthy curly lashes but who doesn't want a boost now and then. My problem is how in the world do I know which one to choose!

Aging Gracefully- Fab face of the day

I love seeing celebrities who are 40 or (39) in Jada Pinkett Smith case looking amazing!

Honestly she has NO evidence of plastic surgery or wrinkles.
At 25 I could pass for 17/18, so I hope a face like this is in my future.

Beauty Trend Watch- Cat Eyeliner

I'm very excited for this trend! This is a trend that can be incorporated into your everyday looks!
I say this because I know everyone can't pull off Dark Plum Lips everyday.

Fall Beauty Trend Watch- Dark Plum Lips

This color is very appropriate for Fall and plays on that ever so popular vampire theme. I love the fact that this is a trend can can be shared by all women.  More importantly you can find this finish in matte, stain, glosses...need I go on!

My recommendation for Dark Plum lips on WOC would be to pair it with gold & bronzed eyes.

My recommendation for Dark Plum lips on fair skin tones would be to pair it with dark eyes to make your eyes pop!

My favorite dark plum lip is faceatelier lipstick in revenge:

So my question to you is how do you feel about Dark Plum Lips?

Cellnique Advanced Bio Renewal Masque Review

A couple of months ago I was given a few Cellnique items to try out.

1. Derma Brightening Complex
2. D’sensi Cream
3. Advanced Bio Renewal Masque

The one product that worked with my skin was the Advanced Bio Renewal Masque.
This unparalleled scrub masque is formulated with bio-captured fresh fruit enzymes and acids complex. It works effectively in exfoliating dead cells, optimizing cellular renewal performance and deep pore cleansing, thus revealing a softer, fresher and healthier skin.
I really liked how my soft skin felt after using the mask. The best part is the micro beads which makes exfoliating easy. If you don't like overly fruity scents I wouldn't recommend this because its very strong. Personally I didn't have a problem keeping it on my face 20 minutes.

Honestly the ($51.00) price is a major set back. That is A LOT of money to spend on one product but I will admit this jar will last awhile!

I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, so the D’sensi Cream & Derma Brightening Complex didn`t work for me.

I may re-introduce it during the winter months to see if there is any change.

DEAL ALERT!

Cellinique is offering free samples of Advanced Bio Renewal Masque, 3g  (To my first 50 readers). Email your full name, mailing/shipping address or the blog’s url (if any) to fbfreesample@cellnique.com with the subject www.spicedbeauty.com.

How much would you spend on a lipstick?

I love random post where I get to know more about my followers.

Personally I would never spend over $24.00. To some people that might seem crazy.. BUT If I really like it... why not?

Truthfully I know I could search around for a dupe but that`s time consuming..lol.

BH Cosmetics 10 pcs Deluxe Brush Set

I got a 10 piece brush set to try from BHcosmetics. I have everything from high end to low end in my kit but I wanted some affordable brushes for my personal use. I actually got these brushes in June.. So I had a few months to test them. I even brought them to Cuba..lol.

These brushes come in convient black zippered pouch which can easily fit in your purse.

fFace brushes are on the left.. eye brushes are on the right.
• Powder brush
• Blush brush
• Foundation brush
• Smudge brush
• Large eyeshadow brush
• Small eyeshadow brush
• Eyebrow brush
• Lip brush
• Pointed Eye Liner Brush
• Mascara brush

Now on to the different brushes:

Quality:
They are very soft but not flimsy. Most of the brushes are made out of natural hair which means less pigment fall out. Also I have not seen any brush fall out when I washed them.

Price: The brush set is affordable at $39.99 US. Which means each brush works out to around $3.99US or $4.19 CDN. I have brushes which cost more than this brush set! So That`s a steal for 10 brushes.

Here are some close ups of the brushes:

Powder Brush

Blush brush..which I think looks more like a contour brush...
Foundation brush..pretty thick and NOT flimsy

Mascara brush & Lip brush..I use the lip one for my eyes because it`s thin.
Smudge brush..I love using this for packing on color.

Large eyeshadow brush
Eyebrow brush

Small eyeshadow brush & Pointed Eye Liner Brush..which looks like a lip brush.

Overall:
I like these brushes  and would recommend them but I really wish they had a crease or blending brush in the kit.

I know I have been posting a lot of E.L.F products lately. Last month they had a 60% off sale and I had to take advantage!

This is the look I wore out on my date with the bf. As usual I was running late and had to make-up time quickly :) I just layered Charcoal all over my lid & covered up the harsh lines in Wild Wheat.

Honestly it took less thank 5 minutes!
